Tangent of Denmark has announced the introduction of the Tangent preAmp II and Tangent PowerAmpster II.

Compact in design the new Ampster family amplifiers are designed to create an affordable HiFi system with a focus on useability.

TANGENT PREAMP II

The Tangent PreAmp II preamplifier comes with connectivity that covers all analogue and digital options: Bluetooth, Optical digital, RCA analogue, AUX mini-jack and a phono stage. Additionally, the preAmp II can be used as a headphone amplifier via the headphone jack on the front panel.

The Tangent preAmp II digital interface features the latest Bluetooth 5.0 aptX HD controller from Qualcomm plus balanced XLR outputs.

The Stereo pre-amplifier has a metal chassis, front volume control, JFET transistor, Tone controls and a Cirrus Logic 24 bit/192 kHz DAC. The general dimensions are (WxHxD) 195 x 70 x 194 mm and the weight is 1.3kg

The Tangent PowerAmpster II is an energy-efficient Class D power amp that delivers a power output of 2 x 100 watts into 4 ohms or 1 x 200 into 8 ohms. Tangent says the power produced is optimal for most bookshelf and floor-standing speakers on the market while still maintaining a small overall footprint. The amplifiers can even be used in stereo mode, or in mono mode to power each speaker in your HiFi system.
