MCRU, the UK HiFi cabling supplier, has announced the launch of MCRU The First mains power lead.
This new product was expressly designed to answer the question posed by cable sceptics, especially on social media, “if the electricity has travelled miles from the sub-station to my house, why does the last metre of cable make any difference?”

David Brook of MCRU told us: “The answer is simple, it’s not the last metre of cable, it’s the first! It should be regarded as the most important cable in your music system, as it determines how your entire system sounds. For this reason, allocation of funds should be prioritised to the mains cable going from your mains wall socket to your power block or mains conditioner/regenerator, hence the name ‘The First’”.

Available now and made to order in the MCRU Yorkshire workshop, The First is available with UK, EU, USA or AUS mains plugs and standard IEC/16A and Neutrik terminations to suit most makes of mains blocks, conditioners and regenerators.
