Ungnoi Taichi Series Isolation Products
UNGNOI TAICHI SERIES ISOLATION PRODUCTS INTRODUCED FOR HIFI SYSTEMS
Hong Kong-based brand Ungnoi has announced its Taichi Series of audio isolation products, developed over a decade of work in vibration control for the high-end audio sector.
The range comprises three models, Ungnoi Taichi MAX, Ungnoi Taichi Base and Ungnoi Taichi Nino, each designed to manage mechanical vibrations in HiFi systems through a combination of materials and structural design.
UNGNOI TAICHI MAX
The Ungnoi Taichi MAX is the flagship model in the range. It uses Super Grade 5 ultra-precision ceramic balls that are larger in diameter than those found in the Taichi Base, combined with a carbon fibre top plate. The design allows for controlled horizontal movement intended to dissipate vibration energy from connected equipment.
The Taichi MAX includes interchangeable stainless steel threaded studs (M6, M8 and M10), enabling use with floorstanding loudspeakers and HiFi racks. Each unit measures 46.5mm in height and 53mm in diameter, with a ceramic ball diameter of 14.3mm. Maximum recommended loading is 132kg per four units.

UNGNOI TAICHI BASE
The Ungnoi Taichi Base shares the same core design principles as the MAX model but is positioned as a more compact alternative. This version incorporates carbon fibre into its construction, alongside a metal structure, to address vibration transfer.
Each unit measures 24.5mm in height and 45mm in diameter. The recommended maximum load is 80kg per set of four, with each box containing four units. The Taichi Base is intended for use under a range of HiFi components where space or load requirements differ from the flagship model.
UNGNOI TAICHI NINO
The Ungnoi Taichi Nino is the smallest model in the series, designed for lighter components and more compact setups. It uses a non-magnetic stainless steel base paired with the same type of ceramic ball found across the Taichi range.
With a height of 16mm and a diameter of 38mm, the Taichi Nino supports a recommended maximum load of 30kg per set of four. The model is intended for use with smaller HiFi equipment, offering a lower profile solution within the series.
UNGNOI TAICHI SERIES MATERIALS AND APPROACH
Across all three models, Ungnoi employs Super Grade 5 ceramic balls as the central element of its isolation approach. These are used in conjunction with carbon fibre and stainless steel structures depending on the model. The products are designed to provide mechanical decoupling between HiFi components and their supporting surfaces.
