Japanese HiFi brand TEAC has announced the NT-507T, a dedicated network streaming transport that expands its Reference 500 Series of mid-sized components.

Designed as a digital-only companion to the TEAC UD-507 DAC/preamp, the NT-507T enables network playback for both TEAC and third-party DACs with USB inputs.

The TEAC NT-507T has been built for accurate digital streaming. Working with the UD-507 and its TRDD5 DAC, it delivers high-quality playback from online services and locally stored audio sources. Its all-digital output means it can be paired with any USB-equipped DAC, offering flexibility for different system configurations.

At the centre of the NT-507T is TEAC’s Network Engine G4, developed specifically for audio streaming. This platform prioritises timing precision and low noise. The unit uses a linear power supply and a toroidal transformer with four independent windings to provide stable current for key circuits, replacing switching supplies that can introduce interference.

CONNECTIVITY

Network options on the NT-507T include Ethernet RJ45, SFP optical, and Wi-Fi 6. The SFP optical connection isolates the unit from network noise, while Wi-Fi 6 supports stable wireless performance. Two USB ports (one Type-A and one Type-C) allow playback from flash drives, HDDs, or SSDs, enabling the un(it to function as a basic music server.

The NT-507T supports Qobuz, Spotify, TIDAL, and TuneIn, along with integration for TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Spotify Connect. It is Roon Ready for multi-room playback and OpenHome compliant for use with third-party control apps, in addition to TEAC’s HR Streamer application.

The HR Streamer app allows full control of the NT-507T from a smartphone or tablet. Its USB Volume Function lets users adjust the volume of connected DACs or preamps through the app, simplifying system operation.

CONSTRUCTION

The NT-507T features a semi-floating 2.8 mm aluminium top panel that helps reduce vibration and improve structural rigidity. Stress-Less isolation feet provide mechanical stability. The model is available in silver or black finishes to match other Reference 500 Series components.

Supported formats include FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, MQA, DSF, DSDIFF, MP3, and AAC. The NT-507T handles PCM up to 768 kHz/32-bit and DSD up to 22.5 MHz. It measures approximately 290 × 84.7 × 246 mm and weighs around 4.3 kg, making it compact and solidly constructed for modern HiFi setups.

TEAC NT-507T NETWORK TRANSPORT PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

The TEAC NT-507T Network Transport will be available in December 2025. The suggested retail price is $2,499.99.
