The new TEAC AP-507 Stereo Power Amplifier joins the Reference 500 Series.
TEAC has announced the launch of theTEAC AP-507, a new stereo power amplifier in its Reference 500 Series.
The TEAC AP-507 offers a small footprint without compromising performance. Available in black and silver finishes, this latest addition integrates with other 500 Series components, making it a flexible option for both stereo and AV surround sound systems.
TEAC CUSTOM NCOREx TECHNOLOGY
At the core of the AP-507 is TEAC’s custom-tuned NCOREx power amplifier module, developed in collaboration with Hypex. This next-generation Class D amplification promises a more expansive soundstage and greater spatial presence. TEAC has also implemented a dual-mono buffer amplifier to refine the signal path, aiming for improved clarity and detail.

Despite its compact size, the AP-507 delivers 170W per channel into 4 ohms and up to 350W in BTL (bridged) mode at 8 ohms. Users can configure it in stereo, bi-amp, or BTL mode, allowing for different system setups, including enhanced integration with AV surround systems.
BUILD QUALITY AND DESIGN
The amplifier is housed in a robust chassis featuring a semi-floating 2.8mm thick aluminium top plate to minimise vibrations. TEAC’s three-point Stress-Less Isolation Foot design further contributes to reduced resonance. Large screw-type speaker binding posts, XLR and RCA inputs, and trigger connectivity ensure easy integration into various setups.
The AP-507 includes dual-pointer VU meters with a four-step dimmer and two-step sensitivity adjustment, offering both a functional and aesthetic appeal. A fanless design ensures silent operation, while an auto power-saving function enhances energy efficiency.

The TEAC AP-507 will be available in spring 2025. Pricing is set at $2,199 (USA), €1,899 (EU), and £1,899 (UK).
