TANGENT INTRODUCES NEW SPECTRUM II SPEAKER RANGE
Tangent has launched the Tangent Spectrum II series, a renewed version of its established Spectrum loudspeaker range.
The new Tangent Spectrum II Series Loudspeakers combine Scandinavian design with contemporary engineering and comes in satin black or white finishes. The Spectrum II range is intended for a variety of uses, including traditional HiFi setups, home cinema systems, and Dolby Atmos installations.
TANGENT SPECTRUM II SERIES LOUDSPEAKERS
The Tangent Spectrum II range offers a full selection of loudspeakers, including bookshelf, floorstanding, centre, on-wall, and Atmos models, as well as an active subwoofer. This allows users to assemble stereo or surround systems with consistent design and sound characteristics throughout.
According to Tangent, the Spectrum II range features upgraded internal components to refine overall performance. The models use polypropylene capacitors in the tweeter circuit, metal oxide film resistors, and larger inductors to help achieve controlled bass response. All models are built around the same acoustic platform to maintain a consistent sound.
TANGENT SPECTRUM II XLCR ON WALL
The Tangent Spectrum II XLCR introduces a new on-wall LCR option to the series. Designed for discreet placement, it is intended to complement other models in the range, offering consistent sound performance for home cinema or multi-channel systems.
BOOKSHELF MODELS: TANGENT SPECTRUM II X4 AND X5
The Spectrum II X4 and X5 bookshelf speakers are compact two-way designs suited to smaller rooms or use as part of a larger surround setup.
Spectrum II X4: 25mm dome tweeter, 110mm mid-bass driver, 65Hz–20kHz response, 6Ω impedance, 50W RMS power handling.
Spectrum II X5: 25mm dome tweeter, 130mm mid-bass driver, 60Hz–20kHz response, 6Ω impedance, 60W RMS power handling, and 88dB sensitivity.
Both models share the same crossover design and styling as the wider series.
TANGENT SPECTRUM II X6 FLOORSTANDERS
The Spectrum II X6 floorstanding speaker is a 2½-way design using two 130mm mid-bass drivers and a 25mm dome tweeter. It offers a frequency range of 50Hz–20kHz, 90dB sensitivity, 6Ω impedance, and 100W RMS power handling. The model is intended to provide wider bandwidth and higher output for larger listening environments.
TANGENT SPECTRUM II XC CENTRE SPEAKER
The Spectrum II XC centre speaker features two 110mm mid-bass drivers and a 25mm dome tweeter in a 2-way bass reflex configuration. With 80W RMS power handling and a 55Hz–20kHz frequency response, it is designed to integrate tonally with the other Spectrum II models for home cinema applications.
DOLBY ATMOS TANGENT SPECTRUM II XATM
The Spectrum II XATM is a compact 2-way closed design developed for Dolby Atmos use. It includes a 19mm dome tweeter and 130mm mid-bass driver, delivering a 70Hz–20kHz frequency response, 88dB sensitivity, and 6Ω impedance. The model can be used on top of other Spectrum II speakers or wall-mounted to suit different room layouts.
TANGENT SPECTRUM II XSW8 ACTIVE SUBWOOFER
The Spectrum II XSW8 active subwoofer incorporates a 200mm cellulose pulp driver and a 100W RMS built-in amplifier. It offers a variable crossover from 50Hz to 150Hz, phase adjustment, and stereo RCA inputs. The frequency response is listed as 25Hz–200Hz.
