TAKUMI 2.1DC TURNTABLE DEBUTS AT HIGH END MUNICH 2025
HiFi enthusiasts heading to High End Munich 2025 can look forward to experiencing the Takumi 2.1DC a turntable created by Rik Stoet.
Rather than chasing visual trends, Takumi has concentrated on fundamental mechanical performance, offering a machine that aims to serve the music above all.
SOLID ACRYLIC BASE FOR VIBRATION CONTROL
The Takumi 2.1DC features a CNC-machined acrylic chassis, selected for its vibration-dampening qualities and acoustic neutrality. This foundation provides a stable and silent playback environment, reducing the influence of external resonances.

TAKUMI 2.1DC MOTOR SYSTEM: SPEED STABILITY WITH FINE CONTROL
The DC motor in the Takumi 2.1DC is belt-driven and housed in a damped enclosure, physically separated from the main plinth to isolate vibrations. Speed accuracy is maintained using a hall sensor and magnetic ring, enabling real-time speed monitoring. An external SpeedPod controller allows for switching between 33.33 and 45 RPM, with ultra-fine 0.01 RPM adjustments to precisely dial in pitch.
MECHANICAL SILENCE IN THE TAKUMI 2.1DC PLATTER DESIGN
A key design feature of the Takumi 2.1DC is its mechanically silent platter system. A solid aluminium subplatter, ceramic axle, and brass bearing are engineered to provide smooth, friction-free rotation. The acrylic platter interfaces directly with the record surface—no mat required—ensuring clear transients and reduced noise between musical passages.
RIGID AND ADJUSTABLE TAKUMI 2.1DC TONEARM
The titanium tonearm fitted to the Takumi 2.1DC is lightweight yet exceptionally rigid, with a fixed headshell to reduce connection losses. Full cardanic bearings offer low-friction movement, and the arm includes adjustability for VTA, azimuth, anti-skating, and lift height, making it compatible with a wide range of cartridges. A shielded 120 cm phono cable is integrated.
SET-UP MADE SIMPLE WITH BUILT-IN LEVEL AND ISOLATION FEET
Installation is straightforward, thanks to three adjustable feet with internal damping and a built-in bubble level for accurate setup. This design not only simplifies levelling but also helps isolate the deck from airborne and structural vibrations.
LONGEVITY AND SERVICEABILITY AT THE HEART OF TAKUMI 2.1DC
Takumi has built the 2.1DC with longevity in mind, using durable materials and ensuring that the design is both upgradeable and serviceable. This is not a turntable designed for fleeting impact, but rather a long-term partner for those deeply invested in their record collections.
TAKUMI 2.1DC PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Takumi 2.1DC is priced at €1695, which includes the titanium tonearm, SpeedPod controller, and an AT3600L cartridge intended for functional testing. It will be available through selected distributors worldwide.
