SPROUT HIFI FOUNDED BY INDUSTRY VETERAN SCOTT MCGOWAN
A new audio company, Sprout HiFi, has been launched by Scott McGowan, of PS Audio.
The new brand will debut with an updated and redesigned version of the original Sprout100 integrated amplifier, planned for release in 2026.

SPROUT HIFI REVIVES THE SPROUT100 LEGACY
The forthcoming product will carry forward the concept of a compact, lifestyle-friendly integrated amplifier that delivers high-quality sound in a small form factor. Building on the reputation of the original PS Audio Sprout and Sprout100, the new model aims to retain ease of use while introducing updated technology and wider functionality.
FEATURES OF THE NEW SPROUT HIFI INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
The renewed amplifier will include a built-in power amplifier, Wi-Fi connectivity for high-resolution streaming, an onboard D/A converter, a dedicated headphone amplifier, phono stage, line-level inputs, digital inputs, and a subwoofer output. Wireless playback from phones, tablets, and computers will also be supported. A full-function remote control will be supplied.
SPROUT HIFI PRODUCT ECOSYSTEM TO EXPAND
Beyond the amplifier, Sprout HiFi plans to broaden its range to form a complete ecosystem of products. Future additions are set to include bookshelf and monitor loudspeakers, subwoofers, wired and wireless headphones, and turntables.
According to McGowan, the aim of Sprout HiFi is to reintroduce the Sprout ethos to a new audience, offering simple but high-performing solutions for music lovers. The new company will seek to balance style, ease of use, and strong performance in products that fit seamlessly into modern living spaces.

The rebuilt Sprout100 integrated amplifier and additional products in the Sprout HiFi line are expected to launch in 2026. Pricing is TBC.
