SENDY AUDIO KYLIN DAC AND HEADPHONE AMP INTRODUCED
Sendy Audio has announced the Sendy Audio KYLIN, a desktop DAC and headphone amplifier designed for high-resolution audio playback.
The unit was first previewed at CanJam NYC 2025 and was released as a standalone product following strong interest from attendees.

The Sendy Audio KYLIN is housed in a machined aluminium chassis intended to provide structural rigidity and heat dissipation for the Class A circuitry. The unit adopts a minimalist desktop design with a central volume control and front-panel headphone outputs. The overall construction is intended for long-term desktop use with headphones and digital sources. The Sendy Audio KYLIN combines digital decoding and headphone amplification in a single desktop component intended for use with a wide range of headphones and digital sources.
SENDY AUDIO KYLIN DAC ARCHITECTURE
The Sendy Audio KYLIN uses an XMOS USB audio interface designed to provide stable, low-jitter signal transmission for digital playback. Digital conversion is handled by the ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chip, which supports high-resolution audio formats including native DSD512. According to the manufacturer, the DAC section is intended to deliver accurate playback with the aim of preserving detail and dynamic range from compatible sources.
SENDY AUDIO KYLIN CLASS A HEADPHONE AMPLIFICATION
Headphone amplification in the Sendy Audio KYLIN is provided by a Class A output stage built around matched Hitachi transistors. The design also incorporates WIMA and Nichicon capacitors along with dual Burr-Brown OPA604 operational amplifiers.
These components form the analogue stage of the amplifier and are intended to provide stable power delivery and consistent signal performance when driving connected headphones.
CONNECTIVITY AND HEADPHONE MATCHING
The Sendy Audio KYLIN includes several headphone output options: 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm balanced, and 6.35mm single-ended connections. The amplifier is designed to automatically adjust its output according to headphone impedance.
Volume control is handled by a Japanese APLS potentiometer, while a gain switch allows users to adapt the output level for different headphones and sources.
Digital and analogue inputs and outputs are included for integration with other audio equipment, and the unit uses a servo-regulated power supply designed to reduce unwanted electrical noise.
