SENDY AUDIO EGRET HEADPHONES LAUNCHED WITH NEW NANO-DIAPHRAGM PLANAR TECHNOLOGY
Sendy Audio has announced the Sendy Audio Egret Headphones, a new open-back planar magnetic model combining a freshly developed nano-scale diaphragm with the brand’s characteristic handcrafted wooden housings.
The Sendy Audio Egret are available from today, 4th December.
SENDY AUDIO EGRET HEADPHONES
At the centre of the Egret is a custom 98 x 84mm planar magnetic driver, the largest and most advanced the company has produced to date. The new composite diaphragm measures under 800 nanometres in thickness, engineered to deliver fast transient behaviour, precision and consistency across the frequency range.

EBED MANUFACTURING FOR THE SENDY AUDIO EGRET HEADPHONES
Sendy Audio applies its Electron Beam Evaporation Deposition (EBED) process to the diaphragm. This method deposits aluminium circuitry directly onto the surface at an atomic level. The intention is to improve resolution, reduce distortion and maintain an open, articulate presentation suitable for critical listening, studio work or detailed home HiFi use.

HANDCRAFTED WOODEN HOUSINGS
The Egret features natural solid-wood housings, each pair uniquely patterned due to the individual grain of the material. The open-back design aims to provide a more spacious soundstage, while the overall construction reflects Sendy’s emphasis on combining modern engineering with traditional craftsmanship.
A contoured headband and soft leather earpads are designed to distribute weight evenly, supporting longer listening sessions without discomfort. The headphone weighs approximately 420g.

CABLE DESIGN WITH TRIPLE-METAL CONDUCTORS
Sendy supplies the Egret with a detachable 1.8m balanced cable built from a three-metal composite: 30 strands of Furukawa oxygen-free copper, 10 strands of silver-plated copper and 10 strands of enamelled gold-plated copper. A graphene-reinforced PVC jacket adds durability and flexibility. Both 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm single-ended adapters are included for broad device compatibility.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION OVERVIEW
The Sendy Audio Egret Headphones offer a claimed frequency response of 8Hz to 40kHz, with 38Ω impedance and 103dB (±3dB) sensitivity. The connector system uses dual 2.5mm sockets, aligning with Sendy’s existing approach to modular cable options.
