SEISMION REACTIO 2 ACTIVE VIBRATION ISOLATION SYSTEM LAUNCHES IN THE UK

German specialist Seismion has officially entered the UK HiFi market with the launch of its next-generation active vibration isolation systems, the Seismion Reactio 2 and Reactio 2 XL.

Distribution is handled exclusively by new UK-based distributor Hi-Fi Doctor, a company drawing on 50 years of combined experience in the AV sector. The brand will initially be available through selected dealers including Studio AV and Lotus HiFi, with further partners to be announced.

ADVANCED VIBRATION CONTROL FROM SEISMION REACTIO 2

The Seismion Reactio 2 is designed to address a persistent challenge in high-end audio: the transmission of vibration into sensitive components. Originally developed for precision-critical industries like semiconductor production and metrology, Seismion’s technology has now been adapted for high-performance audio environments. Turntables, valve amplifiers, and other microphonic components benefit particularly from this type of vibration isolation, where unwanted movement can interfere with sound clarity.

PIEZOELECTRIC SENSORS AND ALL-ANALOGUE CONTROL

At the heart of the Seismion Reactio 2 is a sophisticated active isolation mechanism employing piezoelectric sensors. These sensors detect even minute vibrations, which are then counteracted by an all-analogue control circuit. The result is a dramatic reduction in distortion and noise that can otherwise compromise audio playback. This makes the unit equally suitable for isolating individual components or entire systems weighing up to 65 kg. The Reactio 2 XL variant extends this capacity to 150 kg.

SEISMION REACTIO 2 DELIVERS LOW-FREQUENCY ISOLATION PERFORMANCE

One of the standout features of the Seismion Reactio 2 is its ability to isolate vibrations in the sub-Hertz range. This includes a reduction of more than -20 dB at around 5 Hz, where many building and environmental vibrations occur. The system also achieves over -10 dB of isolation at 1 Hz, a level of performance typically found in only a handful of high-end active systems. This makes it well-suited to environments with particularly challenging vibration conditions.

AUTOMATIC LEVELLING AND LOCKING MECHANISM

The Seismion Reactio 2 is equipped with multiple deflection sensors and motors that maintain automatic levelling to a repeatability of 25 µm. This helps ensure optimal operation of both the sensors and actuators. Additionally, a push-button locking function allows users to fix the top-plate firmly in place during setup, eliminating passive isolation when required. This is particularly useful when installing turntables and other mechanically sensitive gear.

SEISMION REACTIO 2 FEATURES HIGH-END BUILD AND DESIGN

Seismion has taken care to ensure the Reactio 2 matches the expectations of high-end audio users, with improvements to both technical and aesthetic aspects. The system features upgraded push-buttons, connectors, and housing. Top and bottom plates are now made from premium MDF to aid passive resonance damping, especially at higher frequencies. Internally, noise has been halved compared to the previous Reactio Plus model, thanks to improved circuit design and component selection.

SEISMION REACTIO 2 UK PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

The Seismion Reactio 2 is available now in the UK at £10,250, with the higher-capacity Reactio 2 XL priced at £12,750. Customised finishes and colours are available on request.
