Qobuz New Player And Real-Time Lyrics Announced For Mobile And Tablet
QOBUZ NEW PLAYER REDESIGNS THE MOBILE EXPERIENCE
Qobuz has announced a major update to its mobile and tablet application, introducing a redesigned player alongside real-time synchronised lyrics.
Available to all Qobuz subscribers on iOS and Android, the update focuses on making music discovery, navigation and playback more intuitive while providing quicker access to artist and album information.

QOBUZ NEW PLAYER ADDS NEW NAVIGATION AND LISTENING FEATURES
The redesigned player introduces a refreshed interface with visuals that adapt to album artwork during playback. A persistent mini-player remains visible while browsing the app, allowing users to control music without interrupting navigation. Tablet users also gain a split-screen mode, enabling them to continue exploring the app while listening. The playback queue has also been redesigned, making it possible to reorder or remove tracks with simple swipe gestures.
QOBUZ REAL-TIME LYRICS AND MUSIC DISCOVERY
A new synchronised lyrics feature displays lyrics line-by-line in real time, with translations also available. Qobuz has also introduced new playlists centred on sing-along tracks.
The updated Explore section expands recommendations based on the currently playing track, offering related artists, albums, playlists, radio stations, genres and record labels. Editorial content, including artist features, album information and direct access to Qobuz Magazine, is also integrated into the player to encourage further music discovery without leaving the current playback screen.
QOBUZ NEW PLAYER IMPROVES CREDITS AND PLAYBACK CONTROLS
Recording credits have been expanded to include album reviews, artist biographies, digital booklets and technical file information. Users can also follow artists and labels or add them to favourites directly from the player.
Playback management has also been updated, with the listening queue and autoplay now displaying the next three tracks. In addition, the mini-player can be customised so users can choose which shortcuts remain permanently accessible, including audio output selection, favourites or playlist functions.
CARPLAY AND SIRI SUPPORT
Qobuz says the new features are currently available on its mobile and tablet apps for iOS and Android, with rollout to other platforms planned over time.
The announcement also highlights updates introduced to the Qobuz CarPlay app earlier in 2026, including shuffle playback, improved library browsing, editorial recommendations, DailyQ and WeeklyQ playlists, genre filters and favourites. Siri voice control is also available through both CarPlay and the mobile app.
HiFi PiG says: More great features from Qobuz making it one of the top choices for on-the-go audiophiles!
