PRO-JECT VC-E MINI INTRODUCED AS SPACE-SAVING RECORD CLEANER
Pro-Ject has announced the Pro-Ject VC-E Mini Record Cleaner, a compact vacuum-assisted record cleaning machine designed to sit alongside its existing VC-E2 and VC-E3 models.
The new unit maintains a 30 RPM cleaning speed while reducing overall size, offering a more space-efficient option for vinyl users.
PRO-JECT VC-E MINI FEATURES ARM-FREE SUCTION SYSTEM
A key design change in the Pro-Ject VC-E Mini is its arm-free suction system. Rather than using a traditional suction arm, cleaning fluid is drawn from beneath the record into an internal tank. This approach reduces the number of moving parts and simplifies the overall construction. Suction is handled by a brushless DC motor, while waste fluid is collected in a built-in reservoir.
READY-TO-USE PACKAGE AND CLEANING PROCESS
The Pro-Ject VC-E Mini is supplied with a cleaning brush, magnetic clamp, adhesive arm strip and a 100 ml bottle of Wash it 2 cleaning solution. The clamp helps protect the record label during cleaning, while the fluid is designed to be alcohol-free and based on demineralised water. The vacuum process removes both residue and static from the record surface, which may help reduce dust build-up after cleaning.
BUILD AND DESIGN
Manufactured in Europe, the Pro-Ject VC-E Mini uses a rigid chassis constructed from 4 mm aluminium composite panels. The unit measures 230 x 155 x 185 mm and weighs 2.1 kg (excluding power supply), positioning it as a compact and relatively lightweight option. The design is intended for visible placement within a HiFi system rather than storage when not in use.
