PRO-JECT AUDIO SYSTEMS LAUNCHES THE STEREO BOX E COMPACT AMPLIFIER
Pro-Ject Audio Systems has unveiled the Pro-Ject Stereo Box E Compact Amplifier, a compact integrated amplifier aimed at delivering high-quality stereo sound in a streamlined package.
ENTRY LEVEL AMP
Designed as an entry-level option beneath the popular MaiA S3, this amplifier offers a range of connectivity options, making it a versatile hub for various audio sources. The Stereo Box E incorporates an analogue amplifier stage inspired by higher-end models and outputs 21W per channel at 8 ohms, supporting turntables, streaming devices, and more.
DAC AND PHONOSTAGE
Key features of the Stereo Box E include a built-in DAC, a phono stage for moving magnet cartridges, and aptX HD Bluetooth for high-resolution wireless streaming. The unit offers three analogue and three digital inputs, plus a USB-C power output, making it easy to add modern compact streamers. There’s also an integrated headphone amplifier and a subwoofer output, allowing users to customise their listening experience and connect additional components.

To further simplify its setup, the Stereo Box E comes with the Control it 1 system remote. Available in either black or silver, the amplifier is built with a sturdy steel chassis and a brushed aluminium front panel, combining durability with a minimalist aesthetic. With its compact dimensions, it’s equally suited for desktop or HiFi rack use, appealing to those seeking a small footprint.

Pro-Ject has also introduced two pre-configured “Set” systems for the UK market, pairing the Stereo Box E with matching components. The Stereo Set E1 includes the Stereo Box E, the E1 turntable, and Speaker Box 5E speakers, priced at £699. The CD Set E bundles the Stereo Box E with the CD Box E CD player and Speaker Box 3E Carbon speakers, priced at £599. The standalone Stereo Box E amplifier is available in November 2024, retailing for £249.
