The next generation Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 is the continuation of a product line introduced in the late 1990s.
The Pro-Ject Debut is an icon of the audio industry. Since its original introduction in the late 1990s, many have enjoyed a Debut turntable as part of their analogue journey.
Now, their UK distributor Henley Audio has announced the new Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 turntable.
PRO-JECT DEBUT EVO 2 TURNTABLE
The Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 Turntable replaces the Debut Carbon EVO and draws on elements from the superior Debut PRO design.
Within its refined, minimalist industrial design, the Debut EVO 2 benefits from a new cartridge, updated tonearm design, new platter and an improved chassis. Shipping in September 2024, it’s available in 10 different finish options, including a new Satin Wine Red paint option.
ORTOFON CARTRIDGE
Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 Turntable features include a new pre-adjusted Pick it MM EVO moving magnet cartridge made by Ortofon and a 8.6” one-piece conical carbon fibre tonearm. It has a new low-friction, precision tonearm bearing in an aluminium block and a new non-magnetic aluminium platter with TPE damping plus a motor suspension with better damping.
The Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 Turntable features a pecision belt drive system with electronic speed switch for 33 / 45 RPM speeds, height-adjustable metal feet and a new machined MDF chassis with almost no hollow space inside.

The Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 Turntable is available in 10 finishes, including eight-layer paint options or walnut veneer. It has a premium semi-symmetrical Connect it E phono cable included, gold plated RCA output connectors and a dust cover.
