ONKYO ICON C-30 CD PLAYER EXPANDS THE ICON SERIES
Onkyo has unveiled the new Onkyo Icon C-30 CD Player, the latest addition to its recently launched Icon Series HiFi range.
The Onkyo Icon C-30 is aimed at audiophiles seeking reliable, high-quality CD playback with modern refinement and versatile connectivity. The unit is designed to pair seamlessly with the other components in the Icon Series, which includes the Icon A-50 integrated amplifier, the Icon P-80 pre-amplifier, and the Icon M-80 power amplifier.

The Onkyo Icon C-30 CD Player features a 24-bit/192kHz digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), offering detailed sound reproduction with a signal-to-noise ratio of 107 dB. It is equipped with Onkyo’s proprietary Vector Linear Shaping Circuit (VLSC), which Onkyo says works to reduce pulse noise for a cleaner analogue output. A ±10 parts-per-million (PPM) clock provides enhanced timing accuracy.
The Onkyo Icon C-30 CD Player features a blast-finished aluminium front panel designed to minimise vibration and resonance. Around the back, users will find HiFi-grade RCA, optical, and coaxial digital outputs, offering multiple integration options with both modern and classic audio systems. This construction approach is in line with the Icon Series’ emphasis on delivering high-fidelity performance through robust engineering.
VERSATILE DISC AND FILE SUPPORT
In addition to standard CD playback, the Onkyo Icon C-30 CD Player supports CD-R and CD-RW discs, along with MP3 and WMA file formats. This broad compatibility ensures users can access a wide range of digital music collections from disc-based libraries without compromising sound quality.
ONKYO ICON SERIES A COMPLETE HI-FI SYSTEM
Launched at CES 2025, the Onkyo Icon Series marks the brand’s return to form with a full suite of HiFi components. Each unit in the series shares a modern aesthetic and is available in silver or black finishes. The Icon A-50 is a Class AB integrated amplifier rated at 110W into 8 ohms and 180W into 4 ohms, and includes room correction via DIRAC Limited, with an upgrade option.
The Icon P-80 pre-amplifier includes network streaming capabilities, phono input, and balanced outputs, while the M-80 power amplifier delivers up to 200W into 4 ohms. All three are designed to function together or independently with other high-end systems.
ONKYO ICON C-30 CD PLAYER PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Onkyo Icon C-30 CD Player will be available from October 2025, priced at $349 USD. Pricing for other regions is yet to be confirmed. The model complements the broader Icon Series, which includes the A-50 ($1,599 USD), P-80 ($1,999 USD), and M-80 ($1,999 USD).
