NETWORK ACOUSTICS LAUNCHES ORIGIN STREAMING POWER SUPPLY FOR DIGITAL AUDIO SYSTEMS
UK-based brand Network Acoustics has introduced the Network Acoustics Origin Streaming Power Supply, a new hybrid DC power supply developed specifically for digital audio components.
Initially created to reduce electronic noise from home routers, Network Acoustics says the unit has been found to affect a range of devices in the streaming chain, including streamers, DACs, routers, switches, DDCs, and optical converters.

The origin Streaming Power Supply uses switched mode power regulation combined with a four-stage filtering process. Network Acoustics says this approach allows it to deliver low-noise DC power while maintaining fast dynamic response—an area where the brand believes traditional linear and battery-based supplies can fall short in streaming applications.
EMPHASIS ON REDUCING NOISE AND MAINS INTERFERENCE
The design includes a custom AC mains filtering stage, intended to reduce interference from the power source before it reaches connected devices. The output stage incorporates Mundorf Mcap Supreme EVO Silver/Gold capacitors, and internal wiring is made from a silver/copper alloy. The entire unit is housed in a shielded aluminium enclosure with an integrated earthing post that connects directly to mains earth.
COMPATIBILITY AND POWER OPTIONS
The origin Streaming Power Supply is available in two versions—12V/3A and 5V/3.5A—to support a wide variety of DC-powered streaming devices. The included 1-metre DC cable is available with either a 2.1mm or 2.5mm barrel connector. Network Acoustics states that each unit is assembled and tested in the UK.
