British HiFi brand Naim has announced a new in-car audio system developed in collaboration with Bentley’s Mulliner division, forming part of the Bentley Virtuoso Collection.

The Naim for Mulliner system builds on a long-standing partnership between the two brands and is now being integrated into Bentley’s most exclusive models.

NAIM X BENTLEY PARTNERSHIP BACKGROUND AND DEVELOPMENT

The relationship between Naim and Bentley dates back to 2008, focusing on combining automotive design with high-performance audio engineering. The latest iteration, Naim for Mulliner, was first introduced in 2024 on the Bentley Batur and is now extended to the Virtuoso Collection.

NAIM FOR MULLINER SYSTEM TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

The system features 18 speaker drivers supported by dedicated amplification and spatial audio processing. The configuration includes four tweeters and nine midrange drivers developed by Focal, alongside four woofers and a subwoofer. Two seat-integrated bass units are also included.

Dolby Atmos compatibility is incorporated to provide a multi-dimensional sound presentation within the vehicle cabin. The system also makes use of Focal technologies such as W cone drivers, M-profile shaping for dispersion control, and TMD suspension to reduce distortion and improve clarity.

DESIGN AND INTEGRATION

The audio system has been developed jointly by engineers from Mulliner, Naim, Focal and Dolby, with integration designed specifically for Bentley interiors rather than as an add-on component package. Visual elements include bespoke speaker grilles finished in Champagne Gold, designed to balance acoustic transparency with interior aesthetics.

PRODUCTION AND MODEL AVAILABILITY

The Naim for Mulliner system will be available in limited production across selected Bentley models, including the Continental GT, GTC and Bentayga, with availability in the Flying Spur planned at a later date.

HiFi PiG says: A truly luxurious British collaboration between Naim and Bentley.
