MUSICAL FIDELITY SHIPPING NU-VISTA 800.2 FLAGSHIP INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
British distributor, Henley Audio, has announced the availability of the Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 800.2, a successor to the original Nu-Vista 800 amplifier.
Henley tells us that the Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 800.2 Integrated Amplifier maintains the essence of the original design while incorporating refinements and technological advancements from the latest series, promising improved sound quality and aesthetics.
MUSICAL FIDELITY NU-VISTA 800.2 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
The Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 800.2 is the flagship integrated amplifier from Musical Fidelity, offering “exceptional technical measurements”. With a focus on achieving a unique sound signature, the amplifier employs four 6S51N nuvistor valves in its pre-amplifier stage, followed by separate mono power amplifier stages, allowing for “genuine stereo separation and an expansive sound stage”.
POWER AMP STAGE
One of the defining features of the Nu-Vista 800.2 is its power amplifier stage, generously rated at 300W+ per-channel output, ensuring it can drive even the most demanding loudspeakers. Inspired by the iconic TITAN amplifier, each individual output device is coupled to its own high-current bulk supply capacitor, resulting in lower impedance and improved technical measurements, leading to low distortion.
NU-VISTA UPDATES
Musical Fidelity has made extensive investments in the Nu-Vista series, which is evident in the 800.2 model. The power supply circuitry has been updated to enhance overall performance, and the premium transformers have been rewound to achieve lower standing flux and improved noise characteristics.
VU METER
The power supply circuitry upgrade enables the Nu-Vista 800.2 to be remotely turned on and switched into standby mode, adding convenience to its day-to-day use. The front-panel has been redesigned, now featuring a clear display with various view options, including a stylish VU-meter option. Additionally, a premium aluminium remote control provides easy access to controls from the listener’s position.
SOLID CONSTRUCTION
Constructed with an uncompromisingly solid build, the Nu-Vista 800.2 boasts milled front and side panels made from extruded aluminium profiles. This construction acts as a Faraday cage, shielding the internal circuitry from external electromagnetic fields, and adds resistance to mechanical vibrations and airborne interference due to its weight.

The Nu-Vista 800.2 offers five inputs, including four RCA stereo inputs and one balanced XLR stereo input, ensuring compatibility with various line-level sources without compromising integrity and control. For flexible system building, it also includes fixed and variable analogue outputs alongside the bi-wirable Nu-Vista by Musical Fidelity speaker binding posts.
