MELODIKA SBP POWER CABLE ADDED TO SKY BLUE SERIES
Melodika has introduced the new Melodika SBP power cable, joining the company’s Sky Blue series.
The cable is designed for use in Home HiFi and AV systems where stable and low-interference mains power is required to help preserve system performance. You can also read more about the other cables in the Melodika Sky Blue series here.
It is also suitable for professional and technical environments where clean, consistent power is important and was launched at the Audio Video Show Warsaw 2025, last weekend.
MELODIKA SBP POWER CABLE
The Melodika SBP uses conductors made from 99.99% pure oxygen-free copper (4N grade). This material is selected for its stable conductivity and resistance to oxidation over long-term use. Each conductor has a cross-section of 3 × 2.5 mm², designed to offer low resistance and support consistent electrical transfer.
DOUBLE SHIELDING TO REDUCE ELECTRICAL INTERFERENCE
The Melodika SBP incorporates double shielding, combining Mylar foil with an OFC copper braid rated at 85% coverage. This construction is intended to reduce noise pickup and limit interference from nearby electrical devices and cabling. The shielding also reduces the cable’s emission of noise into surrounding equipment.

TRIPLE-LAYER INSULATION AND MECHANICAL DURABILITY
The cable features triple-layer insulation to improve mechanical strength and dielectric stability. The outer jacket is made from modified PVC, designed for enhanced resistance to wear and chemicals. The Melodika SBP is suitable for in-wall installation and is rated for use in environments requiring reliable long-term electrical insulation.
CONNECTORS AND ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Melodika SBP uses reinforced, gold-plated connectors to maintain secure connections and resist oxidation. The cable is tested to a voltage rating of 4000 V, with insulation resistance specified at ≥ 200 MΩ/km. It is supplied with a five-year warranty.
