Melco’s addition of the Qobuz Downloader gives its customers access to thousands of tracks in high-res and CD quality, which can be downloaded directly to Melco music libraries and stored for playback.

In addition, the new firmware offers a number of other improvements, including enhanced media server stability, additional markerless DSD compatibility with a range of USB DACs and updates for Melco music libraries already featuring firmware version 4.10.

Melco Audio’s UK General Manager Dan Raggett said, “I am really pleased to be able to offer this firmware update to customers who have Melco EX Series and EX-updated machines. Qobuz is a well-known and highly regarded resource, offering both access to streaming and download content. The Qobuz Download library gives Melco customers access to thousands of artists, albums and hours of high-quality music. Coupling this with the ability to download and directly store on Melco libraries creates a fantastic proposition for music lovers.”
