LUMIN P2 Network Music Hub
INTRODUCING THE LUMIN P2 NETWORK MUSIC HUB
The LUMIN P2 Network Music Hub has been announced as a new all-in-one digital audio component designed to act as the central hub of a HiFi system.
Building on the earlier P1 model, the unit integrates network streaming, digital-to-analogue conversion and pre-amplification in a single chassis.
LUMIN P2 NETWORK MUSIC HUB
LUMIN describes the P2 as part of its “Network Music Hub” range, designed to bring together multiple audio sources and playback functions within one device. The unit combines both digital and analogue stages, allowing it to handle streaming, local digital sources and analogue inputs within the same system.
At the core of the LUMIN P2 Network Music Hub is a new high-capacity processing platform paired with a dual-mono DAC configuration based on ESS Technology’s ES9038PRO converters. The design uses two DAC chips operating in mono mode to maximise channel separation and precision.
The internal architecture also includes a dual-toroidal linear power supply and Lundahl output transformers. According to the company, this arrangement is intended to provide stable current delivery and maintain signal integrity between the various input and output stages.

CONNECTIVITY ON THE LUMIN P2 NETWORK MUSIC HUB
Connectivity is a major part of the LUMIN P2 Network Music Hub design, with nine digital and analogue inputs provided for integrating multiple source components.
Digital connections include USB audio input and output supporting up to native DSD512, as well as SPDIF and AES inputs supporting up to 192kHz/24-bit and DoP. HDMI 2.0 inputs with 4K passthrough and ARC support are also included.
On the analogue side, both balanced and unbalanced inputs are available, allowing the unit to accept external analogue sources while functioning as a pre-amplifier within a system.

STREAMING AND AUDIO PERFORMANCE IN THE LUMIN P2 NETWORK MUSIC HUB
The LUMIN P2 Network Music Hub supports playback of high-resolution formats including native DSD512 and PCM up to 384kHz. A femto clock system with FPGA distribution is used for timing control within the digital stage.
The device also incorporates fibre networking, which isolates the audio circuitry from potential digital noise coming from the network connection. Volume control is handled via Leedh Processing, a digital volume system designed to maintain resolution when adjusting levels.
