LOEWE LEO HEADPHONES LAUNCHED WITH GLOBAL AMBASSADORS KYLIAN MBAPPÉ AND DAVID GUETTA
Loewe, the German luxury audio-visual brand with over a century of history, has launched its first-ever over-ear headphones, the Loewe leo.
Best known for televisions, radios, and speakers, Loewe now steps into a new product category, presenting leo as a premium HiFi headphone designed to combine engineering precision, high-quality sound reproduction, and a refined aesthetic.
LOEWE LEO HEADPHONES DESIGNED AS A COMPLETE HIFI SOLUTION
Unlike many headphones that depend on external sources for digital-to-analogue conversion and amplification, Loewe leo incorporates both directly into its design. A high-end DAC is paired with a Texas Instruments amplifier, driving 50mm precision-tuned drivers. These drivers employ OCE (Olefin Composite Elastomer) diaphragms, a material chosen for its lightweight yet durable qualities, intended to provide speed of response, natural damping, and clarity across the frequency spectrum. Loewe highlights that this allows the headphones to deliver clear vocals, crisp high frequencies, and smooth, controlled bass.



HIGH-RES AUDIO WIRELESS AND CODEC SUPPORT
Loewe leo supports a wide array of advanced audio formats and technologies. These include Hi-Res Audio Wireless, Spatial Audio, Dolby Atmos, and Bluetooth LE Audio. For high-quality streaming, the LC3+ codec is supported at 96 kHz / 24-bit. The headphones also include adaptive noise cancellation with a transparency mode, enabling users to adjust to different listening environments.
The Loewe app extends functionality with Mimi Sound Personalisation, tailoring the sound to the user’s individual hearing profile. This feature is intended to optimise playback for each listener’s ears, enhancing both detail and comfort in long listening sessions.
LOEWE LEO SMART FUNCTIONALITY AND CONTROL
A range of smart features are built into the Loewe leo, including support for voice assistants, real-time AI translation, and multipoint connectivity, allowing simultaneous pairing with multiple devices. Battery life is specified at up to 65 hours, with USB-C fast charging providing additional convenience for travel.
Control is handled via a combination of tactile rotary dials and touch-sensitive surfaces on the earcups. This hybrid approach allows both intuitive gestures and precise manual adjustments.
FOCUS ON SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability has been a focus in the development of Loewe leo. Many of the headphone’s components are designed to be repairable, replaceable, and upgradeable, which aligns with Loewe’s long-standing approach to craftsmanship and durability. The construction combines anodised aluminium with genuine leather ear cushions, aiming to balance strength, comfort, and longevity. Loewe positions this as an example of luxury with responsibility, producing a headphone that is both premium and practical for long-term use.

To launch the Loewe leo, the brand has enlisted two internationally recognised ambassadors. Kylian Mbappé, global ambassador for Loewe since 2024, represents performance and focus in the campaign. He highlights how music supports his routine, from training to reflection away from the stadium. For him, the Loewe leo offers a way to carry clarity and energy into both professional and personal moments.
Alongside him is David Guetta, whose campaign centres on the return home to Ibiza after touring. He presents Loewe leo as a companion that brings consistency and immersion to his listening, whether on the road or at the beach. Together, the two ambassadors reflect Loewe’s theme of “Travel Beyond Sound”, linking performance, music, and emotional connection through listening.
LOEWE LEO BESPOKE EDITION CREATED WITH JACOB & CO.
For collectors, Loewe has collaborated with jeweller Jacob & Co. to produce a limited “leo – bespoke edition”. Only ten examples will be created, each featuring around 12 carats of gemstones. These editions are priced in the six-figure range and represent the most exclusive interpretation of the Loewe leo design.

The Loewe leo headphones will be available in midnight blue and moonlight beige finishes. They carry a recommended retail price of €1,299. The “leo – bespoke edition”, created with Jacob & Co., is limited to just ten units worldwide and priced in the six-figure range.
