KROMA ATELIER MARIBEL MAKES WORLD DEBUT AT AUDIO VIDEO SHOW WARSAW 2025
Spanish loudspeaker specialist Kroma Atelier is launching its new flagship loudspeaker, the Kroma Atelier Maribel, at the Audio Video Show Warsaw 2025.
The four-way design represents the culmination of over fifty years of loudspeaker development by founder Javier Millán and his son, Javier Jr.
KROMA ATELIER MARIBEL LOUDSPEAKER
Javier Millán has been designing and hand-building loudspeakers since the age of 14. Now working alongside his son, the father-and-son team have created what they describe as their most complete and unconstrained project to date. The Maribel embodies Kroma Atelier’s pursuit of natural, musical reproduction and traditional craftsmanship.
KROMA ATELIER MARIBEL DESIGN AND DRIVERS
The Kroma Atelier Maribel is a large four-way floorstanding loudspeaker with a driver complement of dual AMT tweeters, a 3-inch dome midrange, two 8-inch paper-cone mid-woofers and two 15-inch paper-cone woofers. The design offers a claimed frequency response of 20Hz to 27kHz, with a sensitivity of 93dB and selectable impedance of 8 or 4 ohms via four binding posts. Recommended amplifier power ranges from 20W to 1000W. Each speaker measures 201cm tall and weighs 220kg.
THE KRION® SILENT CAVITY CABINET
The Maribel’s cabinet is constructed entirely from Krion®, a dense, non-porous composite material chosen for its rigidity and non-magnetic properties. Kroma Atelier calls the internal structure the “Silent Cavity”, designed to suppress structural and air-borne resonances. The intention is a neutral, uncoloured sound that allows recordings to emerge without cabinet-induced distortion.
ACOUSTIC ENGINEERING INSPIRED BY SILENCERS
Internally, the Kroma Atelier Maribel uses expansion chambers, ducts, and resonators to manage air movement—an approach borrowed from acoustic silencer design. Phase-Lock foam panels of varying densities are placed throughout the enclosure to absorb reflections and reduce resonances. The goal is to deliver clean bass and a smooth, linear frequency response without relying on electronic correction.
CUSTOM DRIVERS AND TRI-METAL SIGNAL PATH
The Maribel employs modified Scan-Speak Ellipticor drivers featuring elliptical coil and motor geometry for low distortion and fast transient response. Its internal wiring follows a tri-metal configuration—copper for conductivity, silver for transient accuracy, and gold for long-term stability. The crossover uses Duelund and Mundorf components, with physical separation of signal paths and non-magnetic fasteners to avoid interference and preserve fine detail.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
Kroma Atelier’s dedication to mechanical precision continues with a hand-shaped wooden bass-reflex port designed for smooth, laminar airflow. The speakers are supported by IsoAcoustics isolators, which decouple them from the floor to enhance imaging and tighten bass response.
KROMA ATELIER MARIBEL LOUDSPEAKER PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The Kroma Atelier Maribel is available at a retail price of €400,000 plus local taxes. It makes its world premiere at the Audio Video Show Warsaw 2025 at the National Stadium, with Polish Distributor Dream Audio.

Audio Video Show Warsaw takes place on the 24th-26th October 2025.

The show is split between three locations, the the PGE Narodowy (National Stadium), Sobieski Hotel and Golden Tulip Hotel.
The Audio Video Show Warsaw 2025 promises 600 HiFi brands, 160 exhibitors and 185 exhibition rooms and spaces across the three venues, it is the second biggest HiFi Show in Europe.
Tickets:
Tickets are available at the ticket office, priced at 60 PLN. Three-day passes are also available for 90 PLN (valid from Friday to Sunday).
Tickets and passes are exchanged at the entrance for a wristband, which entitles you to entry to the entire exhibition (all three locations). The ticket price includes an 88-page exhibition guide.
