KANTO AUDIO TUK GRAND AND TUK GET A NEW GENERATION
Kanto Audio has launched two new powered speakers, the Kanto Tuk Grand and second-generation Kanto Tuk.
Designed in Canada, both the Kanto Tuk Grand and Kanto Tuk 2nd Generation use an Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter, an aluminium concave woofer, Class-D amplification and DSP, alongside a range of analogue and digital connectivity.
The new models are intended to build on the original Tuk, with Kanto focusing on driver performance, cabinet design and connectivity as part of what the company describes as a deeper move into the HiFi market.
KANTO TUK GRAND BRINGS A LARGER CABINET
The Kanto Tuk Grand is the larger and more ambitious of the two speakers. It uses a hand-built cabinet with increased internal volume and a re-engineered driver arrangement centred around a 6-inch aluminium concave woofer. Kanto states that the design provides greater scale and bass extension down to 40Hz, while aiming for a more balanced presentation.
The 28mm x 35mm AMT tweeter is shared with the second-generation Tuk, with the design revised to provide smoother high frequencies and greater detail. The amplification is Class-D with DSP.
KANTO AUDIO TUK 2ND GENERATION IS REVOICED
The second-generation Tuk retains the original model’s basic driver combination but introduces a newly developed DSP profile. The speaker also gets a larger cabinet, Kanto’s combing waveguide and wider AMT tweeter dispersion, with the company stating that these changes are intended to improve high-frequency smoothness, detail and consistency across a wider range of rooms.
The Tuk uses a 5.25-inch aluminium concave woofer and delivers 130W RMS, with 260W peak power. Its stated frequency response is 50Hz–22kHz, compared with 40Hz–22kHz for the Tuk Grand.
CONNECTIVITY AND FINISHES
Both powered speakers provide two RCA line-level inputs, optical TOSLINK, USB-C and Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Adaptive, AAC and SBC support. Both also feature a USB-C charging output and a subwoofer output with selectable high- or low-pass filtering. An 80Hz selectable high/low-pass filter is included on each model.
The Tuk Grand measures 21.8 x 29.5 x 35cm and weighs 15.1kg, while the Tuk measures 18.4 x 25.4 x 30.5cm and weighs 10.8kg. Tuk Grand is available in Matte Black, Matte White and Matte Walnut, while Tuk adds Matte Burl and Gloss Butter to those three finishes.

Kanto Audio Tuk Grand and Tuk go on sale in North America on 8 September 2026. Suggested retail pricing for the Tuk Grand is $999.99 USD / $1,199.99 CAD / £799.99 / €899.99 / $1549.99 AUD, while the Tuk is priced at $899.99 USD / $1,099.99 CAD / £699.99 / €799.99 / $1499.99 AUD.
HiFi PiG says: Kanto’s updated Tuk range looks to offer a useful combination of compact powered-speaker convenience and more traditional HiFi connectivity. The larger Tuk Grand should appeal to listeners wanting greater scale and bass extension, while the second-generation Tuk provides a more compact option with the same core AMT and aluminium woofer approach.
