JBL SUMMIT SERIES LAUNCHES IN SINGAPORE WITH SOUND GALLERY BY IMS AT HI END ASIA SINGAPORE 2025
Sound Gallery by IMS will present the Singapore launch of the JBL Summit Series at Hi End Asia Singapore 2025, held from 23 to 25 October at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The event will mark the first public appearance in Singapore of JBL’s flagship loudspeakers, the Summit Makalu and Summit Ama. Both models will be demonstrated in Room Summit 1, B5, giving visitors the opportunity to experience JBL’s latest high-end loudspeaker designs in a controlled listening environment.
HiFi PiG will be covering Hi End Asia Singapore 2025 in full, with Gyula Weeber reporting from the show.
JBL SUMMIT MAKALU AND SUMMIT AMA AT HI END ASIA SINGAPORE 2025
The JBL Summit Makalu, priced at SGD 58,000 per pair, is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker named after one of the world’s highest Himalayan peaks. It features a 12-inch composite woofer, an 8-inch midrange driver, and JBL’s patented D2830K compression driver with a precision HDI horn. The Summit Ama, a two-way stand-mount model priced at SGD 25,000 per pair including stands, uses the same compression driver and horn design in a compact enclosure for smaller listening spaces. Both models include JBL’s MultiCap crossover network, heavily braced curved cabinets, rhodium-plated terminals, and IsoAcoustics isolation feet, reflecting JBL’s focus on robust engineering and refined construction.

SOUND GALLERY BY IMS SHOWCASES FULL JBL SUMMIT SERIES RANGE
While the Hi-End Asia 2025 showcase will focus on the Summit Makalu and Summit Ama, Sound Gallery is also taking inquiries for the Summit Pumori, a SGD 40,000 three-way model positioned between the two. Named after Mount Pumori, this model combines the scale of a floorstander with a smaller footprint. After the show, Sound Gallery will maintain permanent demonstration facilities for the complete Summit Series range, allowing customers to audition the speakers in purpose-built listening rooms.
A DEDICATED LISTENING EXPERIENCE AT HI END ASIA SINGAPORE 2025
Sound Gallery by IMS is preparing a dedicated listening environment for Hi End Asia 2025. The organisers have created smaller, acoustically treated rooms within the venue to provide attendees with the chance to audition the JBL Summit Series in conditions closer to a real listening space. Reference-quality electronics will be used throughout the demonstrations to allow visitors to appreciate the speakers’ full performance potential.
JBL SUMMIT SERIES CONTINUES THE LEGACY
The JBL Summit Series sits at the top of JBL’s loudspeaker range, joining models such as the Project Everest DD67000 and K2 S9900. Each Summit speaker is named after a Himalayan mountain, symbolising JBL’s goal of reaching new heights in acoustic design. Developed and built at JBL’s Acoustic Centre of Excellence in California, the Summit Series represents nearly 80 years of continuous refinement in both professional and home audio.
