JADIS ANNOUNCES CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP AS JÉRÉMIE MALFROOT TAKES THE HELM
French high-end HiFi brand JADIS has announced a change in ownership, with Jérémie Malfroot taking over leadership of the company.
The move marks a new chapter for the long-established brand, best known for its hand-built valve amplifiers and long-standing commitment to French manufacturing.
JADIS ANNOUNCE CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP
Jérémie Malfroot becomes the new owner of JADIS, bringing more than 23 years of management and business development experience from a major Austrian industrial group. While positioning himself as a supporter of craftsmanship and local manufacturing, Malfroot’s background lies firmly in structured industrial leadership and long-term company development.

JADIS SUCCESSION FROM LILIANE EXPERT
Malfroot succeeds Liliane Expert, who has overseen JADIS for more than three decades. During her tenure, she maintained continuity in brand identity and operational approach, guiding the company with a focus on consistency and stability. The company credits her stewardship with preserving what it describes as the core character and heritage of the brand.
JADIS AND ITS FRENCH MANUFACTURING ROOTS
Founded in 1983, JADIS built its reputation around valve amplification, with particular emphasis on hand-built construction. A notable technical feature remains its output transformers, which are hand-wound in Villedubert, France, before being cast in a proprietary resin. These manufacturing practices continue to underpin the company’s product identity.
JADIS STRATEGY UNDER JÉRÉMIE MALFROOT
Under new ownership, JADIS states that it intends to maintain its established technical approach and focus on handcrafted production. Malfroot’s stated ambition is to build on the existing heritage while increasing the brand’s visibility within the global audiophile market, without signalling any immediate change in design philosophy or manufacturing location.
JADIS FOUNDER’S FAMILY REMAINS INVOLVED
Continuity is further reinforced by the ongoing involvement of Jean-Christophe Calmettes, son of the company’s founder. He remains actively engaged with JADIS, supporting the transition and contributing to the transfer of historical knowledge, technical expertise and company ethos.
HiFi PiG Says: We look forward to seeing what this new chapter in the JADIS story will bring!
