HIFI ROSE RS451 NETWORK STREAMER ARRIVES IN THE UK
Henley Audio has announced the arrival of the new HiFi Rose RS451 network streamer in the UK this autumn, following its unveiling at Munich 2025.
The HiFi Rose RS451 introduces a more compact design while retaining the brand’s familiar styling and expanding functionality with multiple headphone outputs.
HIFI ROSE RS451 NETWORK STREAMER
At the heart of the RS451 are two ES9027PRO DAC chips, one dedicated to the line-level pre-out and the other to the headphone stage. This separation ensures independent signal paths, with the headphone section further supported by four individual amplifiers. The design aims to deliver strong drive capability across a wide range of headphones, including high-impedance models.

SIGNAL PROCESSING IN THE HIFI ROSE RS451
The streamer employs HiFi Rose’s Digital Processing Core (DPC) module, originally developed for the RD160 DAC and also found in the flagship RS151. By applying precise clock synchronisation and jitter reduction, the DPC isolates audio processing from CPU functions, aiming for clean, accurate sound reproduction. In addition, the Rose NRA Filter contributes low-noise analogue performance.
HIFI ROSE RS451 STREAMING AND OS
Running on a customised version of Android 12, the RS451 makes full use of ROSE OS. The operating system supports playback from local libraries and external storage, as well as internet radio, CD playback and ripping (via a compatible drive), and streaming from services such as Spotify Connect, Tidal, Qobuz, Apple Music, and more. It is also Roon Ready and certified for Audirvāna. Video playback is supported both locally and via Tidal and Rose Tube.
CONNECTIVITY OPTIONS ON THE HIFI ROSE RS451
The RS451 is equipped with a range of connections including coaxial, optical, RCA line input, USB audio, and HDMI eARC. Outputs include balanced and unbalanced analogue, optical, coaxial, and USB. Wireless connectivity comes via Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX, plus AirPlay and DLNA/UPnP support. The layout has been designed to simplify integration into both desktop and living room systems.
DESIGN AND USER INTERFACE OF THE HIFI ROSE RS451
The RS451 continues HiFi Rose’s use of aluminium chassis construction, combining durability with a familiar aesthetic. A new wide-angle 8.8-inch touchscreen provides high-resolution control and display functions, while the front panel places three headphone outputs—4.4mm balanced, 6.35mm unbalanced, and XLR balanced—alongside a large, machined volume control.
PERFORMANCE AND PROCESSING POWER IN THE HIFI ROSE RS451
An upgraded 8-core processor underpins the RS451, delivering faster performance and support for larger music libraries. The hardware specification also includes an ARM Mali GPU and 8GB of memory. This combination aims to ensure smooth operation of ROSE OS, efficient streaming, and responsive handling of high-resolution content.
