HEGEL H150 STREAMING AMPLIFIER LAUNCHES

After a teaser at High End Munich 2025, Hegel has now officially revealed the new Hegel H150 Streaming Amplifier, replacing the outgoing H120 in the company’s line-up.
The model is positioned as a complete system solution, with integrated streaming, multiple digital and analogue connections, and a built-in phono stage for Moving Magnet cartridges.
HEGEL H150 STREAMING AMPLIFIER
The H150 is a full-width component but measures just 35 cm deep, making it straightforward to house on shelves or in media units. Available in black or white, it features a thick aluminium front panel with control knobs, a perforated steel top cover for heat dissipation, and a central OLED display that can be dimmed or switched off.

HEGEL H150 AMPLIFIER PERFORMANCE
Power is rated at 2 x 75 watts into 8 ohms. The H150 uses a class AB design with Hegel’s SoundEngine 2 technology, giving a damping factor of 2000 and stable operation into loads as low as 2 ohms. A large toroidal transformer and high-speed capacitors are employed to provide current reserves for speaker control.
INTEGRATED DAC
The integrated DAC is a four-layer custom design, drawing on technology from Hegel’s Viking CD player. It handles digital sources and the internal streaming section, aiming to deliver detail and dynamics from a wide variety of inputs.
STREAMING FEATURES OF THE HEGEL H150
Streaming services supported include Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast, Apple AirPlay, and UPnP. Internet radio and podcasts are available via the Hegel Control app. Firmware updates are provided automatically to add services and features.
The amplifier provides two optical inputs (one optimised for TV), one coaxial input, a USB-B, and a network connection. A USB-A input allows direct playback from flash drives and hard drives. There is also a coaxial digital output for integration with active loudspeakers, second systems, or external DACs.

ANALOGUE CONNECTIVITY ON THE HEGEL H150
Analogue connections include balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, plus a Moving Magnet phono stage. A headphone output and variable line-level output for subwoofers or external power amplifiers are also provided.
The H150 has input-sensing and auto-standby features, along with compatibility with standard TV remote codes. Multi-room support is available through AirPlay, Google Cast, or Roon (pending certification). Control can be managed via the supplied remote or the Hegel Control app.
