HEAR HEGEL, AUDIO GROUP DENMARK, T+A, EPOS, ELECTROCOMPANIET, TRANSROTOR AND MORE AT UK HIFI SHOW LIVE 2025 AT ASCOT GRANDSTAND
HiFi PiG’s Oscar and Kelly will be reporting from this year’s UK HiFi Show Live 2025, held at the Ascot Grandstand on the 27th–28th of September.
First hosted at the Ascot Racecourse in 2019, the show returns this coming weekend with an impressive line-up of brands and products for music lovers.
HEGEL D50 RAVEN DAC
Hegel is bringing its new D50 DAC, also known as The Raven, which we reviewed recently. The D50 uses dual linear power supplies for its digital and analogue circuits and supports playback up to 384kHz PCM and DSD256. Anders Ertzeid, Hegel’s Vice President of Marketing, will be on hand at the show.
AUDIO GROUP DENMARK WITH BØRRESEN C3 AND AAVIK U-188
Making its debut at the UK HiFi Show Live, Audio Group Denmark will showcase products from Børresen, Aavik, Axxess and Ansuz. On demonstration will be the Børresen C3 floorstander, a sibling to the C1 standmount, featuring the company’s planar high-frequency driver and DCC5 Neo bass units. The loudspeakers will be paired with the Aavik U-188 Unity Amplifier, an all-in-one design with integrated DAC, network streaming, and 2x300W Class D amplification.
TRANSROTOR DARK STAR REFERENCE
Transrotor’s Dark Star Reference turntable will be presented as part of the vinyl replay demonstrations. This belt-drive design uses a double-layer polyoxymethylene chassis and a 60mm-thick platter for stability and performance.
ELECTROCOMPANIET AW 800 M MONO AMPLIFIERS
Norwegian HiFi brand, and the HiFi PiG UK HiFi Show Live 2025 coverage sponsor, Electrocompaniet will feature its AW 800 M mono amplifiers, designed for handling demanding loudspeakers, alongside a new matching preamplifier. The AW 800 M are the reference amplifiers here at HiFi PiG Towers, read why in our review here. UK distributor Elite Audio will demonstrate the system.
T+A SYMPHONIA STREAMING AMPLIFIER
T+A will introduce the Symphonia, a streaming integrated amplifier that combines retro styling touches such as hand-built VU meters with modern features, including dual DACs for separate PCM and DSD processing. Distributor Kog Audio will partner the Symphonia with Epos ES-28N loudspeakers and Soulnote amplification.
The Epos floorstander, designed by Karl-Heinz Fink, will also be on show, with the designer himself in attendance to discuss the revival of the brand.
