GIK ACOUSTICS Q11D DIFFUSER LAUNCHED AS PART OF EXPANDING DIFFUSER RANGE
Acoustic room treatment brand, GIK has announced the launch of the GIK Acoustics Q11D Diffuser, a new one-dimensional quadratic diffuser designed for use in listening rooms, studios and larger acoustic spaces.
The GIK Acoustics Q11D Diffuser forms part of the company’s expanding diffuser line and is based on the established Q7D, with design changes intended to address higher midrange frequencies.

The GIK Acoustics Q11D Diffuser uses an 11-root well sequence, compared with the lower root count of the Q7D. This increases diffusion complexity and shifts its effective range higher in the midband. According to GIK Acoustics, the diffuser provides scattering effects down to 570Hz, with even diffusion extending up to 3900Hz.
The unit is slightly wider than the Q7D and features narrower wells. This allows both models to be combined in modular arrays, enabling broader diffusion coverage within the same installation.
GIK ACOUSTICS Q11D DIFFUSER CONSTRUCTION AND FINISH OPTIONS
The GIK Acoustics Q11D Diffuser is manufactured using CNC-cut wood laminates. It is available in a choice of Beech, Walnut, Black or White finishes. Two size options are offered, a full-height model and a Demi version, which is half the height of the standard unit.
The Demi version is intended for rooms with lower ceilings or for use in interleaved layouts, including installations seeking more complex scattering patterns across a surface.
APPLICATIONS FOR THE GIK ACOUSTICS Q11D DIFFUSER
GIK Acoustics recommends the Q11D Diffuser for a range of domestic and professional environments. Suggested placements include rear walls in mix, mastering or listening rooms, behind dipole or open-baffle loudspeakers, and along front or rear side walls in two-channel or surround systems. The diffuser is also intended for use in live rooms, particularly for percussion and acoustic instrument recording, where controlled midrange decay is required.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The standard GIK Acoustics Q11D Diffuser measures 60 x 116 x 16cm and weighs 31kg, while the Demi version measures 60 x 58 x 16cm and weighs 15.5kg. Both versions share the same 11-root quadratic design and wood laminate construction.
