FYNE AUDIO F55E FLOORSTANDER LAUNCHED
British HiFi brand Fyne Audio has introduced the new Fyne Audio F55E floorstanding loudspeaker, expanding the F500E range.
The model brings the company’s IsoFlare point-source driver technology and BassTrax diffuser system into its most compact and accessibly priced floorstander to date.
FYNE AUDIO F55E JOINS THE F500E RANGE
The Fyne Audio F55E completes the F500E lineup, which marked Fyne Audio’s move to an all-IsoFlare portfolio. Every loudspeaker across the brand’s current catalogue now employs the proprietary point-source driver, designed to align frequencies at a single point for coherent timing and imaging.
Positioned as a slim and compact floorstander, the Fyne Audio F55E is intended for smaller and medium-sized rooms. The company highlights that the speaker aims to provide the imaging qualities often associated with stand-mounts, combined with the scale and bass weight expected from a floorstanding design, without requiring extra space.
ISOFLARE DRIVER TECHNOLOGY
At the centre of the Fyne Audio F55E is a bespoke 5-inch IsoFlare driver. This design combines a multi-fibre mid/bass cone with a titanium dome compression tweeter mounted concentrically. The result is intended to produce a time-aligned wavefront, presenting a single coherent acoustic source.
FYNE AUDIO F55E DRIVER MATERIALS AND ENGINEERING
The IsoFlare unit uses Fyne’s multi-fibre paper cone and FyneFlute surround, a profile engineered to reduce unwanted resonances at the cone edge. The tweeter employs a neodymium magnet and a shaped waveguide to help maintain consistent dispersion. The aim is to deliver clarity, controlled midrange performance and stable imaging.
BASSTRAX DIFFUSER SYSTEM
The Fyne Audio F55E uses a downward-firing port in combination with the BassTrax Tractrix diffuser. This system disperses low-frequency energy in a 360-degree pattern, helping bass integrate more evenly into the listening room. The result is intended to reduce placement sensitivity and maintain low-frequency control regardless of position.
CABINET DESIGN AND FINISHES
The cabinet of the Fyne Audio F55E is made from high-density MDF with internal bracing to reduce colouration. It is available initially in a Black Oak finish, with a Walnut option scheduled to follow. The overall design continues the styling cues and engineering focus found across the wider F500E Series.
