NEW EXPOSURE DAC LAUNCHED BY THE BRITISH HIFI BRAND

exposure dac hifi news

British HiFi brand Exposure Electronics has introduced a new digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) designed to bring greater flexibility and fidelity to modern digital systems.

The new model is aimed at music enthusiasts looking to get the most from streaming sources, CD transports and computers, offering both DAC and digital preamplifier functionality in one component.

The new Exposure DAC supports high-resolution PCM and DSD playback, and follows the news of their new flagship Exposure 5510 Integrated Amplifier.

EXPOSURE DAC

Exposure has equipped the DAC with a broad array of inputs and outputs to suit a variety of digital sources. Seven SPDIF inputs support sample rates from 44.1kHz to 192kHz PCM, while the USB input handles up to 768kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD256. Outputs include both RCA and balanced XLR, available in fixed or variable configurations, allowing users to connect directly to power amplifiers or integrate the DAC into existing systems.

EXPOSURE DAC OFFERS DIRECT CONNECTION TO POWER AMPLIFIERS

With its 99-step digital volume control, the Exposure DAC can function as a digital preamplifier, feeding a power amplifier directly without the need for a separate preamp. Users can select fixed output for traditional setups or variable output for flexible system control.

LOW NOISE DESIGN

Exposure’s engineering includes a custom-designed toroidal transformer with a hum shield and a low-noise power supply. This design helps to achieve a quieter noise floor, allowing recorded detail to emerge without interference.

The DAC’s all-aluminium chassis serves both aesthetic and functional purposes, offering rigidity, resonance control and effective shielding from electromagnetic fields. A clear white OLED display, remote control and adjustable power-on volume settings provide everyday usability in a straightforward package.
