Our approach is to accept the challenge and get past the limits of the seemingly known, which is our driving force. This spirit is embodied by AUDIUM.

Our investments into research and development and particularly our people with their desire to constantly question the status quo, have enabled us to find new answers for the production of loudspeakers.

This has led to the construction of loudspeakers which are distinct from others. Determined in their approach, well thought-out and scrupulous in their realization and design. And perfectly handcrafted.

The design we originally created is expression and reflection of this innovative technology.

The Facelift of our Comp loudspeakers brings more straight lines and clearness into their optical appearance.

Veneers and finishes of the cabinets have been adapted to the current Zeitgeist.

And the technical internals have been updated and optimized for even more emotions when listening to music.

Our Approach

Since AUDIUM was founded in 2010 by Frank Urban and Klaus Siegesleitner the core of our approach has been unchanged: every sound should remain as it is. 

Continuous and not divided – radiated from one single source per loudspeaker.

Different approaches were analyzed – and a fundamentally newly developed broadband concept enables the best implementation!

A single broadband driver emits the entire frequency spectrum.

No sound is torn apart and distributed across various driver systems.

Nothing needs to be disassembled and reassembled.

Everything radiates from one point: homogeneous, natural and accurate in time.

Supported by an integrated downfired subwoofer for the lowest frequencies.

The speaker used for this is also different, namely oval.

New ideas break with the old-fashioned.

Packed in a design and a quality that seduces.

After all, good things can also be beautiful.

Innovative, flexible and with highest fidelity – this AUDIUM models get the best out of your recordings! It’s made possible through a completely new approach – sound shall remain in its original form: Contiguous and not distributed to different speaker-drivers!

New ideas and exhaustless motivation during their development helped us realizing a unique, novel concept.

Our loudspeakers are equipped with an innovative fullrange system, capable of reproducing the complete audible Frequency range. With this single sonic source per loudspeaker, we reach the theoretical ideal: a point source.

No sound is segregated – everything remains untouched.

Supported by an integrated subwoofer for the deepest frequencies.

New ideas replace old-fashioned ones and open doors to a new dimension of natural music perception.

A bit more technical details? Here we go:

The Fullrange Driver

The heart of each AUDIUM loudspeaker.

One driver being capable of reproducing frequencies from 150 Hz up to the highest audible sounds – no simple task!

But realized with the motivation of our engineers, built with innovative, new materials and manufacturing techniques.

In the Comp 7, 5 and 3 we use a small but powerful 3” fullrange system. Special materials like a Celluloid membrane and Neodym magnets, combined in new geometric approaches allow reproduction of an unreached wide spectrum. This system is capable of generating even the highest frequencies!

At the bigger models we even go a step forward. The used system with a 4“ double-cone allows even more dynamics.

For its production two membranes built of different materials are assembled in a sophisiticated process.

The Integrated Subwoofer

The bass-support for our point-source.

Even though we think our custom designed oval woofer is too beautiful to be hidden, we go with acoustics! Because of the downfired construction the woofer always “feels” the same radiative resistance.

The result: The loudspeaker is unsensitive in regards

of the placement within the listening room.

Different music lovers, different requirements!

Each is individual in the design of his HiFi-electronics, according to his personal requirements.

We are able supply 3 groups – and according to those we designed our 3 loudspeaker variants:

Passive, Active and Air Wireless

Plus the opportunity to upgrade from passive to active or Air easily.

Passive variant – Passive for the classical music listener.

Whether you want to polish up your day-to-day system or if you are a newcomer to the HiFi world:

Simply connect the AUDIUMs to your integrated amplifier or receiver and off you go!

With the Bi-Wiring Terminal you can also take further steps here: Bi-Wiring, or Bi-Amping allows you to take further steps to the perfect sound without having to make major changes.

Active variant – Active for the modern music listener.

All you need is an audio source with adjustable volume: preamplifier, streamer with integrated preamp, laptop or computer with high quality sound card.

No power amplifiers are needed anymore – these are already inside of the loudspeakers. This ensures the perfect coupling of amplifiers and fullrange/woofer. No passive crossover is required and the setting possibilities of the DSP and the efficiency of the fully digital Class-D leave no wish!

Wireless variant – AUDIUM Air for the Minimalist!

You want to concentrate fully on the loudspeakers?

No more audio components? No cables?

Then the AUDIUM Air are the right thing.

Simply connect to your home Wi-Fi and play music via AirPlay, UPnP/DLNA, QOBUZ, DEEZER, Spotify, Bluetooth and the two digital inputs. The control is conveniently done via the AUDIUMv2 app and the DLNA app of your choice!
