The new Emotiva BasX MR1 AV Receiver and Emotiva BasX MC1 AV Processor are now available in the UK through distributor Karma-AV.
EMOTIVA BASX MR1 AV RECEIVER
The BasX MR1 cinema receiver combines a 13.2 channel immersive surround sound processor and an audiophile quality eleven-channel amplifier in a single chassis. Delivering 100W RMS/channel @ 8 ohms and 130W RMS/channel @ 4 ohms, continuous, all channels driven, the MR1’s linear Class H power supply (featuring a massive 1,000 VA toroidal transformer), places reserves of power at the disposal of the latest Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive surround sound formats. Line level audio outputs support up to thirteen main/surround sound channels and two subwoofers (with balanced connections).
HDMI EARC
High video quality with fast error-free switching is enabled through six HDMI inputs, all of which support HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2, 4k UHD video, and HDR (including HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision). There are twin HDMI 2.0b compliant HDMI video outputs, the primary output supporting both ARC and eARC.
EMOQ ROOM CORRECTION
Audio inputs include four stereo unbalanced analogue, two S/PDIF coaxial, twin Toslink, USB audio and an integrated Bluetooth receiver with aptX.
The MR1 is supplied with a measurement microphone and the latest version of EmoQ, Emotiva’s well-regarded automatic room correction system, while control options include a full-function illuminated infrared remote control providing direct one-button selection of audio and video sources, access to the MR1 Menu System and for added convenience, real-time channel trimming on the fly.
EMOTIVA BASX MC1
The Emotiva BasX MC1 is the processor section of the MR1 designed for system builders with existing power amplifiers or a preference for pre/power systems. Housed in a slender (79mm) chassis it features the 13.2 channel AV processing power of the MR1, an identical input/output design, EmoQ automatic room correction (mic included) and the control/system configuration options offered by the MR1 receiver.
