NEW REFERENCE MK2 SPEAKERS FROM DIPTYQUE

French HiFi brand Diptyque will launch their new speakers at High End Munich 2025.

The new Diptyque Reference MK2 is an isodynamic loudspeaker developed by Diptyque Audio in collaboration with sound engineer Philippe Teissier du Cros.

DIPTYQUE REFERENCE MK2 SPEAKERS

A key feature is its proprietary “Crossed Push-Pull” system, where each bass driver uses two independent coils—mounted vertically and horizontally—to move a 12 µm Mylar membrane. This design enables more controlled and efficient low-frequency reproduction. Midrange is handled by a 20 mm isodynamic ribbon, while high frequencies are reproduced by an 8 mm pure aluminum super tweeter, extending response beyond 40 kHz.

The speaker has a frequency range of 22 Hz to 24,000 Hz, 89 dB sensitivity, and 4-ohm impedance, supporting power up to 300W (with a recommendation for amplifiers above 60W). Physically, it measures 1800 mm by 650 mm by 44 mm and weighs 75 kg. It can be ordered in a wide range of finishes to suit different interiors. The Reference MK2 focuses on precise sound reproduction through refined planar magnetic technologies rather than traditional driver arrangements.
