DECO AUDIO GOVERNOR STANDARD TURNTABLE POWER SUPPLY LAUNCHED
Deco Audio Products has introduced the new Deco Audio Governor Standard Turntable Power Supply, positioned as a more affordable addition to the company’s range.
It follows the 2023 launch of the British HiFi brand’s Governor Evolution. Deco say that external power supplies can offer improvements in speed, stability and isolation from mains-borne noise.
DECO AUDIO GOVERNOR STANDARD TURNTABLE POWER SUPPLY
The Governor Standard is housed in a half-width aluminium enclosure with a gloss black acrylic fascia. It incorporates a linear power supply, an analogue waveform generator and a transformer-coupled analogue output stage. Its simplified design is intended to reduce parts and build cost while maintaining stable operation.
The unit uses an entirely analogue circuit with no DSP, Class D or switch-mode technology. This approach is designed to provide a stable, low-noise waveform for turntable motors.

SPEED CONTROL AND PERFORMANCE FEATURES
Electronic switching is available for 33.3 and 45 RPM, with independent fine adjustment for both speeds. With an output of 3 watts, the Governor Standard is suitable for a wide range of decks using small AC motors.

COMPATIBILITY WITH POPULAR TURNTABLES
Deco Audio says the power supply is compatible with many well-known models, including those from Rega (24-volt versions supported via an optional adaptor cable), Linn LP12 Basik/Majik, Revolver, Systemdek and Nottingham Analogue, along with numerous other AC-motor designs.

DECO AUDIO GOVERNOR STANDARD TURNTABLE POWER SUPPLY AVAILABILITY AND PRICING
The Deco Audio Governor Standard is priced at £449.00 inc VAT.
