DAN D’AGOSTINO MOMENTUM Z MONOBLOCK AMPLIFIERS ANNOUNCED
Dan D’Agostino Master Audio Systems has introduced the Dan D’Agostino Momentum Z Monoblock Amplifiers, a new-generation design that updates the long-established Momentum amplifier platform.
The announcement marks the company’s fifteenth anniversary and reflects a full revision of the amplifier’s core architecture rather than an incremental update, with changes to power supply design, circuit topology, thermal management and system control.

The Dan D’Agostino Momentum Z Monoblock Amplifier is built around a dual 1,200VA linear toroidal transformer power supply, delivering 500W into 8 ohms, 1,000W into 4 ohms and 2,000W into 2 ohms. A key feature is the company’s Kinetic Drive Regulator, which is intended to maintain stable voltage rails under varying mains conditions and loudspeaker loads. The amplifier operates fully in the analogue domain, with a software-based control system monitoring bias and other operating parameters in real time.
For the first time in a D’Agostino power amplifier, the Momentum Z uses a JFET-based input stage. A selectable input allows optimisation for use with D’Agostino preamplifiers or compatibility with other designs. The amplifier also introduces Ethernet connectivity, enabling users and service technicians to view operational data such as temperature, voltage, bias and trigger status via a standard web browser, as well as adjust front-panel display settings.
INDUSTRIAL DESIGN AND POSITION IN THE RANGE
The Momentum Z continues the brand’s established visual approach, with a machined aluminium chassis and prominent solid copper heat sinks. Each heat sink is milled from a single 42lb billet of copper and designed to improve heat dissipation under sustained operation. The front panel combines a high-resolution digital display with the company’s signature analogue meter wand. Within the wider Dan D’Agostino Master Audio Systems portfolio, the Momentum Z sits alongside the Pendulum, Progression, Momentum and flagship Relentless series.

The Dan D’Agostino Momentum Z Monoblock Amplifier is scheduled to begin shipping in March 2026, with indicative figures of around £61,500 per amplifier, or approximately £123,000 for a stereo pair.
