CONGREGATION LAUNCHES WITH ANALOGUE-FIRST LISTENING SPACES AND VINYL LOUNGE DEBUT
A new UK-based design studio, CONGREGATION, has launched with a mission to reimagine how we experience music.
Founded by Greg Chapman CONGREGATION designs immersive, analogue-focused environments that place HiFi sound at the centre of space and atmosphere.
CONGREGATION’S TWO KEY FORMATS KISSA AND KADŌ
The studio’s work centres on two formats: KISSA, a permanent listening space inspired by the Japanese listening bar tradition, designed for use in hospitality, retail, and cultural settings; and KADŌ, a modular mobile structure intended for temporary residencies, events, and collaborations. Both formats are built with a holistic approach—integrating acoustic design, tactile materials, curated analogue playback systems, and even a signature scent.
VINYL LOUNGE CONGREGATION’S PUBLIC DEBUT AT GREENWICH RHYTHM AND TASTE FESTIVAL
CONGREGATION will make its first public appearance at the Greenwich Rhythm and Taste Festival on Saturday 26 July 2025. The studio is curating the Vinyl Lounge, an immersive listening space developed in partnership with re:sonate DJs. Located on the Greenwich Peninsula, the Lounge will offer a reflective, emotionally engaging environment for music lovers.
CONGREGATION’S HiFi SYSTEM A FULLY ANALOGUE AUDIO EXPERIENCE
At the heart of the Vinyl Lounge is a fully analogue HiFi system showcasing respected names in high-end audio. The system features modern Altec-inspired loudspeakers by Admire Audio, McIntosh Labs amplification, precision styli from JICO, and components from Ray Tubes, Western Electric, Crafted Acousique, and scent specialists Narici. The aim is a precision-tuned, emotionally resonant experience that connects listeners with the music.
CURATED RECORDS, TASTINGS, AND VINYL CARE
The Vinyl Lounge experience will include curated record crates from Rook Records, wine tastings from Black Wine Club, and complimentary vinyl cleaning courtesy of Loricraft. The intention is to create a cultural meeting point where music, taste, and tactile experience converge.
“We founded CONGREGATION to make space for sound again – not as background, but as architecture, atmosphere, and emotion,” says founder Greg Chapman. “The Vinyl Lounge is a preview of what we’re building – focused listening in a cultural context.”
CONGREGATION TO BEGIN KADŌ PRODUCTION IN AUTUMN 2025
Following its festival debut, CONGREGATION will begin production of its first KADŌ unit in Autumn 2025. Designed for brand partnerships, cultural institutions, and private clients, the mobile listening structure will be available for commissions starting in 2026.

CONGREGATION is the result of a collaboration between FEEL FLOWS COLLECTIVE audio consultancy, and BCS Studio, a multi-disciplinary design and fabrication practice. Together, they bring over five decades of experience in spatial design, sound curation, and integrated build processes.
