CLARITY HIFI CONFERENCE 2025 TO BE HELD AT DOLBY THEATRE, LONDON
Clarity, the UK’s HiFi industry trade association, will hold its annual Clarity HiFi Conference 2025 on Monday 9th June at the Dolby Theatre in London.
The event is open to all individuals working in the UK HiFi industry and aims to provide professional development, sector updates, and networking opportunities.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: ANDREW CARTMEL
Author and screenwriter Andrew Cartmel will deliver the keynote address. Known for his work on Doctor Who and his Vinyl Detective crime novels, Cartmel brings a combination of HiFi interest, vinyl expertise, and media experience. His talk is expected to touch on personal perspectives around vinyl and listening culture.


RETAIL DATA INSIGHTS FROM GFK
Edward Jackson from market research firm GfK will present current data on HiFi sales and consumer trends. The session will explore product categories, pricing, and purchasing patterns, offering attendees a clearer picture of the commercial landscape.
PAYMENT TECHNOLOGY FROM BLINK
Josh Brickman of Blink, a payment service provider partnered with Clarity, will introduce a card payment platform available to Clarity members. The session will outline features of the service and explain how it is being used by retailers in the sector.
AUDIO STANDARDS FROM PETER AYLETT
Peter Aylett, chair of the CEDIA/CTA R10 Standards Committee, will provide an overview of the RP-22 Immersive Audio Design Recommended Practice and other forthcoming CEDIA initiatives. Aylett’s work focuses on improving standards across audio system design.
SUSTAINABILITY IN HIFI RETAIL
Matt Renaut of Dacombes of Wimborne will discuss approaches to improving sustainability in retail operations. His presentation will highlight measures implemented at his own business to lower energy use and operating costs.
CLARITY TRAINING PROGRAMMES OUTLINED
Paul Laville from T21 Group will present Clarity’s plans for future training initiatives. As a Clarity board member and long-time industry trainer, Laville will explain the direction of the training programme and its relevance to retailers and manufacturers.
FUTURESOURCE REPORT ON HOME AUDIO MARKET
Guy Hammett, head of home audio at Futuresource, will present recent research into the global loudspeaker and home audio market. The talk will also consider the impact of current trade tariffs and other external factors.
HONORARY FELLOWSHIP TO BE AWARDED
Clarity will present its annual Honorary Fellowship Award during the conference. The award recognises an individual who has made a significant contribution to the UK HiFi industry. The recipient will be announced on the day.
CLARITY HIFI CONFERENCE 2025 BOOKING AND ATTENDANCE INFORMATION

Attendance is free for Clarity members and costs £25 plus VAT for non-members. The event will begin with a late breakfast at 11:30am, with sessions starting at 12:30pm.
