CHORD ELECTRONICS’ NEW ANALOGUE FLAGSHIP TAKES CENTRE STAGE

British HiFi brand Chord Electronics will unveil a brand-new reference-level analogue product at High End Munich 2025.

The launch marks a significant moment for the Kent-based manufacturer, coinciding with the final edition of the long-running German audio show. The debut is scheduled for Thursday, 15th May, offering visitors an early look at this flagship addition ahead of its formal release later in the year.

CHORD ELECTRONICS ULTIMA RANGE EXPANDS

The new device will join Chord Electronics’ ULTIMA Reference series, which includes the ULTIMA PRE preamplifier and ULTIMA MONO power amplifiers. This addition reinforces the company’s focus on high-end analogue design and performance. The ULTIMA series represents Chord Electronics’ most ambitious and advanced HiFi offerings to date, targeting both discerning home audio users and professionals in the studio sector.

DESIGNED BY JOHN FRANKS

Chord Electronics’ founder and chief designer, John Franks, is behind the new development. Known for his pioneering work in both analogue and digital audio, Franks will attend High End Munich 2025 in person to support the launch. Show attendees will have the opportunity to meet him and gain insights into the design philosophies and technologies that underpin the new product.

PRO AUDIO AND HIFI IN ONE LINEAGE

While aimed at the high-performance HiFi market, the new ULTIMA Reference product also reflects Chord Electronics’ close ties to professional audio. The company’s equipment is in use at prestigious facilities such as Abbey Road Studios and Skywalker Sound, with this latest launch promising benefits across both domestic and studio applications.
