CAMPFIRE AUDIO RELAY DAC/AMP LAUNCHES IN THE UK
Campfire Audio is set to unveil its new compact DAC/AMP, the Campfire Audio Relay, at CanJam London 2025.
Designed with portability and sonic performance in mind, the Relay brings desktop-level features to a device that fits in your pocket. Retailing at £229, it aims to serve audiophiles looking for high-fidelity sound on the move.
CAMPFIRE AUDIO RELAY DAC/AMP FEATURES AKM 4493 DAC CHIP
At the heart of the Campfire Audio Relay DAC/AMP is the AKM 4493 SEQ digital-to-analogue converter. Known for its technical strength and engaging sound, this DAC chip was selected for its balance of clarity and a subtle analogue character. It’s housed in a lightweight, precision-machined aluminium body, combining durability with clean aesthetics.

The Relay offers broad platform compatibility via USB-C, supporting Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices. It comes equipped with both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs, giving users flexibility when pairing with various headphones or IEMs. This ensures that the Relay can serve as the central component in a portable HiFi system, no matter the source device.
To suit a wide range of listening preferences, the Campfire Audio Relay DAC/AMP includes high and low gain settings, six digital filter modes, and support for variable bit rates up to 32-bit / 768kHz. It also supports both PCM and DSD playback formats, and features a 60-step volume control and built-in media playback buttons, giving users detailed control over their listening experience.
