HiFi PiG CHECKS OUT THE LAUNCH EVENT FOR THE NEW CAMBRIDGE AUDIO X MAHARISHI COLLAB
A cool new collab between a British HiFi brand and UK streetwear label was launched in Soho, London last night, of course we had to be there…enjoy our photo report from Kelly Bowden.
On the 18th of September, Cambridge Audio announced their collaboration with Maharishi – designers of environmentally conscious, utilitarian clothing. The event was held at the Maharishi store in Soho and there was a mix of press and friends of Maharishi at the event.
CAMBRIDGE AUDIO X MAHARISHI LAUNCH EVENT
Combining Maharishi’s deep roots in UK design and music with Cambridge Audio’s years of audio expertise was a logical step, and the two products being released represent two different listening experiences. First up we have the reimagining of the new A100 true-wireless earphones, alongside the established Alva ST turntable – with aims to connect a fashion-conscious audience with the power of music. Both the A100 and Alva ST sport the classic Maharishi Olive colourway, with the A100 being available immediately, whilst the Alva ST will be available later on this year.

Nick Udall, head of Marketing and Brand Partnerships at Cambridge Audio, stated “They (Maharishi) have been intrinsic to the music I listen to; Being able to bring together our brands has been really organic – both parties had a desire to explore each other’s customer bases, and so everything fell into place from the first meeting”. Whilst Hardy Blechman, Founder of Maharishi, said “Cambridge Audio has always represented purity and honest in sound. There’s a deep respect for music in what they do – and how they do it”. This collaboration marks the beginning of an ongoing partnership between two brands that share a love of music, culture, and craftsmanship.
The event showed off the products alongside music from Three As Hardway – a group consisting of Daddy G (Massive Attack), Jazzie B (Soul II Soul) and Don Letts, what a cracking lineup. It was a relaxed and inviting event that was well attended and showcased the natural collaboration between these two brands – we look forward to seeing more from this collaboration in the future!
