Cambridge Audio has introduced a new Special Edition of its flagship over-ear wireless headphones, the Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 SE.
The Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 SE builds on the original P100 with enhanced tuning for deeper bass, improved dynamics, and louder playback.
CAMBRIDGE AUDIO MELOMANIA P100 SE HEADPHONES
A key feature of the Melomania P100 SE is the addition of Cambridge Audio’s proprietary DynamEQ technology. This adjusts frequency response in real time to maintain musical balance, especially at lower volumes. Combined with a premium 40mm three-layer driver and Class AB amplification, taken from Cambridge’s CX Series amplifiers, the headphones are designed to deliver detailed and dynamic audio performance.
VERSATILE CONNECTIVITY AND CODEC SUPPORT
The Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 SE supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound platform, including aptX Lossless, for CD-quality wireless playback. It also handles SBC, AAC, and aptX Adaptive codecs up to 24-bit/96kHz, ensuring compatibility across a wide range of sources. Wired operation is available via USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to 3.5mm connections, with both cables supplied.
IMPROVED NOISE CANCELLATION AND USER CONTROL
The P100 SE offers three levels of Active Noise Cancellation, along with a Transparency Mode for greater environmental awareness. For tailored audio experiences, the Melomania Connect app includes six EQ presets and a seven-band manual EQ. A new low-latency gaming mode, reducing delay to 80ms, makes the headphones suitable for gaming and video use.
COMFORT AND SUSTAINABILITY ENHANCEMENTS
The headband has been redesigned with softer cushioning and optimised clamping force to improve comfort across all head shapes. Cambridge Audio has also made strides in sustainability—P100 SE incorporates 50% recycled plastic, ships in recyclable packaging, and includes user-replaceable batteries and ear pads.
EXPANDED COLOUR OPTIONS FOR CAMBRIDGE AUDIO MELOMANIA P100 SE
Joining the standard Black and White finishes, the Melomania P100 SE is now available in a bold Blue colourway. This aligns with Cambridge Audio’s refreshed branding and gives users a more expressive visual option.
BATTERY LIFE AND FAST CHARGING
Battery life remains a strong feature of the Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 SE, offering up to 60 hours of playback with ANC on and up to 100 hours with ANC off. A five-minute quick charge delivers up to two hours of ANC listening or four hours without.
