AUSTRIAN AUDIO HI-X65 OPEN-BACK OVER-EAR HEADPHONES

Austrian Audio and their UK distributor Sound Technology Ltd have announced the Austrian Audio Hi-X65 headphones.

Austrian Audio Hi-X65 headphones are designed as professional monitoring headphones for mixing and mastering, the open over-ear design and the high excursion driver work for sound engineers and audiophiles alike.

AUSTRIAN AUDIO HI-X65 HEADPHONES

The development of the Hi-X (High Excursion) technology results from decades of experience and today’s technologies, and it’s the key to the Hi-X65’s sound. All Austrian Audio Hi-X headphones feature a 44mm driver and a ring magnet system, which allows for improved airflow. The ring magnet, combined with a copper-clad aluminium voice coil, reduces the weight of the membrane and the voice coil connected to it, allowing the membrane to move or change direction faster, providing a more responsive impulse reaction.

COMFORT AND DESIGN

In addition to the sound quality, the Hi-X65 also provide a high level of comfort. The ear pads are made of soft memory foam and have been completely redesigned to provide more space for the ears without increasing the external dimensions. The breathable construction ensures ventilation while supporting the acoustic design. The soft memory foam padding of the headband has a clever recess for the head seam and thus reduces the contact pressure.

VIENNESE CRAFTSMANSHIP

All moving and load-bearing components are made of metal for maximum load capacity. The Austrian Audio Hi-X65 has a very sturdy folding construction and comes with a carrying bag. Additionally, with an impedance of 25 ohms, they work with a large range of sources. The headband and ear pads, i.e., all hygienic components, can be easily exchanged and replaced.

CABLES AND CONNECTORS

Whether for studio sessions or regular music listening, the Austrian Audio Hi-X65 headphones are very adaptable. The included exchangeable cables of 1.2 m and 3 m length (4 and 9 feet) are tailored to the technical data of the headphones. They connect with the headphones with a secure locking mechanism. The standard 3.5 mm stereo jack plug ensures compatibility, and an adapter to a ¼” stereo jack is included for professional connections.
