AUDIO NOTE OTO SE 35 ANNIVERSARY AMPLIFIER DEBUTS AT BRISTOL HIFI SHOW 2026
Audio Note UK is marking 35 years of continuous production of its Oto integrated amplifier with the launch of the Audio Note Oto SE 35.
First introduced in 1991, the Oto was the company’s first amplifier to be fully designed and manufactured in-house and has remained a central part of the range ever since.
AUDIO NOTE OTO SE 35 RECEIVES FIRST MAJOR UPDATE
The Audio Note Oto SE 35 represents the first substantial technical revision of the Oto SE in decades. The update includes a redesigned power supply and a range of new, in-house manufactured components, reflecting current Audio Note UK engineering practice while retaining the core circuit approach that has defined the amplifier since its introduction.
DESIGN HISTORY OF THE AUDIO NOTE OTO SE 35
Originally conceived by Audio Note UK founder Peter Qvortrup and designed by Andy Grove, the Oto was created to bring single-ended valve amplification to a wider audience. At a time when such designs were uncommon, the Oto established itself as a reliable, long-term product, with many early units still in use and supported by the manufacturer today.
The Audio Note Oto SE 35 is a Class A, parallel single-ended pentode integrated amplifier using EL84 output valves. Alongside the integrated version, a related stereo power amplifier, the P1SE 35, is also available. Both models continue the Oto’s focus on straightforward valve topology and long-term serviceability.
AUDIO NOTE OTO SE 35 RANGE AND AVAILABILITY
The anniversary update applies across a wide Oto and P1SE line-up, including Line and Phono versions, with Signature and Silver Signature options also available. The Audio Note UK Oto SE 35 range is available to order now through authorised Audio Note UK dealers, with launch scheduled for February 2026 at Bristol.
