ARENDAL SOUND 1961 SERIES SPEAKERS ARE BACK
Norwegian HiFi brand Arendal Sound has reintroduced its 1961 Series, responding to growing global demand.
The Arendal Sound 1961 Series was first launched back in 2020. After a two-year absence, the eight-model range is back, featuring the same blend of advanced engineering, Nordic-inspired design, and performance that competes with far more expensive offerings.
ARENDAL SOUND 1961 SERIES SPEAKERS
The Arendal Sound 1961 Series Speakers benefit from key technologies inherited from Arendal’s premium 1723 range. These include waveguide tweeters and custom drivers designed to deliver accurate and dynamic sound reproduction. High-density fibreboard (HDF) cabinets and hand-painted matte Black and White finishes ensure a premium aesthetic that integrates seamlessly with other Arendal models.
VERSATILE LINE-UP FOR MUSIC AND HOME CINEMA
The range includes the 1961 Tower, Monitor, Center, Bookshelf, Height, Surround, Subwoofer 1V, and Subwoofer 1S. With options for stereo and home cinema configurations, the 1961 Series allows users to mix and match models for a tailored setup.
DESIGNED FOR FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION
Many models in the 1961 Series offer wall-mounting options, including VESA100 compatibility, making them suitable for various room layouts. The range also includes adjustable features such as sealable bass ports and tilt-adjustable spikes for optimal performance.
1961 SERIES SUBWOOFERS: POWERFUL BASS PERFORMANCE
The 1961 Subwoofer 1V and 1S are equipped with Avalanche 550 iQ amplifiers delivering 550W RMS output. Customisation options include a 3-band parametric EQ, low-pass filters, and subsonic filters. The 1V features a vented design for deeper bass, while the 1S offers a compact, sealed design for more precise low-end control.
HERITAGE-INSPIRED NAMING
Arendal names its speaker series after significant moments in Norwegian history. The 1961 Series pays homage to the Tromøy Bridge, a major engineering achievement that connected the island of Tromøy to the mainland near Arendal.

The Arendal 1961 Series is available for pre-order now. Pricing starts at £530 for the Center speaker and goes up to £1,600 per pair for the Tower model.
