ABSOLUTE SOUNDS THE HAPPENING ANNOUNCED FOR OCTOBER 2026
Absolute Sounds has announced The Happening, a new audio event taking place at Haycock Manor, a country house hotel in Wansford, Cambridgeshire, on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October 2026.
Presented by the UK HiFi distributor, the two-day event will bring together music enthusiasts, audio systems from the company’s portfolio of brands and representatives from a number of international manufacturers.
ABSOLUTE SOUNDS THE HAPPENING WILL FEATURE HIGH END AUDIO SYSTEMS AND LIVE MUSIC
Visitors will be able to experience a selection of music systems featuring brands distributed in the UK by Absolute Sounds. According to the organiser, each system has been assembled using its experience in matching components to work together as complete systems.
Alongside the listening demonstrations, the programme will include live music performances and moderated discussions with representatives from manufacturers based across Europe, North America and Australia, who will discuss their approaches to design, engineering and craftsmanship.
ABSOLUTE SOUNDS CELEBRATES THE ART OF LISTENING
According to Absolute Sounds, the event has been created to celebrate music reproduction, listening and the people behind the equipment. Throughout the weekend, visitors will have the opportunity to hear a range of carefully assembled systems, meet industry figures and take part in discussions centred on music and audio.

The Happening takes place at Haycock Manor, Wansford, Cambridgeshire, on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October 2026. Tickets are available now at £5 per day, plus Eventbrite’s booking fee of £1.13. Absolute Sounds says every penny of the £5 ticket price will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
