Rachel Mazer premieres “Home” and announces debut album

Los Angeles singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Rachel Mazer, previewed another heartfelt track from her upcoming debut, How Do We Get By. “Home” was written in a moment of tragedy and vulnerability after Mazer lost her brother three years ago. It’s a song in his memory and we partnered with American Songwriter to bring you the first listen.

Rachel Mazer is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. Most people recognize Rachel as a freelancing vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (saxophone, bass, guitar) who has performed with many different LA and Michigan bands including playing bass with May Erlewine, Monica Martin, and Anna Ash; and has played saxophone with Vulfpeck, Woman Believer, Amber Navran, Benny Sings, Jacob Mann’s Big Band, Julian Allen, Jacob Jeffries and many others.

Rachel has also opened for bands and artists including The Suffers, Emily Elbert, Jacob Jeffries, and Anna Ash. People are now beginning to turn their heads to Rachel as a solo artist, as she launched her solo artist career with her first two singles ‘Is It So Wrong’ and ‘Open Heart’ in November – both banging retro pop tracks. Soon enough people will recognize Rachel Mazer for her heartfelt forthcoming record How Do We Get By out on March 8, 2019, which she crowdfunded $20,000 on Kickstarter to make. It features some of her best friends from the Michigan music scene.
