Visitors to the upcoming Hong Kong High End AV Show 2026 will be among the first people in HK to hear the incredible Borresen M8 and Aavik M880 flagship system.
Join Max Ng of distributor Zesen HiFi in the huge ballroom, S421, with Michael Børresen, Lars Kristensen and Danny Hon of Audio Group Denmark for what must be one of the most highly anticipated show launches of recent years.
BORRESEN M8 LOUDSPEAKERS AND AAVIK M880 MONOBLOCK AMPLIFIERS
Back in February, HiFi PiG’s Stu and Lin were among the select few press to be invited to Audio Group Denmark HQ in Aalborg for the world premiere of the flagship million euro (and then some) speakers and system.
Now, it’s Jon Lumb’s turn to experience it in Hong Kong next month.
The Børresen M8 loudspeaker has a quoted frequency response of 20Hz–50kHz and a sensitivity of 87dB/1W. It is fitted with an RP94 ribbon tweeter and multiple 8-inch bass drivers. The loudspeaker has a rated impedance of 5 ohms for the bass section and 8 ohms for the midrange and treble sections. Each speaker weighs approximately 325kg. The quoted Chinese retail price is RMB10,800,000 per pair.
The Aavik M-880 mono power amplifier is a pure Class A design and is specified to deliver 400W into 8 ohms, 800W into 4 ohms and approximately 1,300W into 2 ohms.
The amplifier incorporates multiple high-speed, low-noise switching power supplies. The quoted Chinese retail price is RMB2,000,000 per pair. Four amplifiers will feature in the Hong Kong show system.

Max and his team at Zesen are no strangers to high end launches, we were very lucky to experience the flagship vivid Moya and Chord Electronics’ system last year in Hong Kong, and the distributor regularly shows the crème de la crème of British, USA and European HiFi at events around China…he was the first distributor in the world to take on the Borresen M8 and Aavik M880 system, and he showed it in Guangzhou at the show there a few weeks ago.

HONG KONG HIGH END AV SHOW 2026 INFO
The Hong Kong High End AV Show 2026 takes place from 7th to 9th August 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
Opening hours are 10am to 7pm on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th August, and 10am to 6pm on Sunday 9th August.
Single-day admission is HK$100, with each ticket including a copy of the 2026 The Perfect Sound hybrid SACD.
The exhibition spans Hall 3, the S2 and S4 Series Meeting Rooms and the Chancellor Room, with live demonstrations, music software, headphones and HiFi systems on display throughout the three-day event.
